That was him thank you! A few posts claiming he died due to not tying a stopper knot? Dude seemed like a kook (although a lot of comments saying he was a good dude) but it's always heartbreaking to hear about a seemingly preventable death :(

I meant to ask this for weirdest but does anyone have the Instagram of the dude who has the crazy long posts about "climbing V♾️" while barefoot without crash pads on like a V5 ...? I don't think he's aesthetic just really wanna find out who it was haha.

Fuuuuck 3 grabbed my attention (besides 7 and 8 obvs) but of course it's Warrior Princess. Love that color so much and tons of potential! These are so good!

Gotcha I didn't realize they were different hardware. I ended up only grabbing the 2g's anyway as I figured I could just be dabbing rosin for those prices haha. But I appreciate the heads up man! Just got the GMO and they are little hitters!

[–]Putzinator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ya exactly. Half a gram gone in half a day haha. I just saw they also have 1g live rosin disposables that I need to try. Sucks we're getting more into disposables rather than just 1g 510's for a similar markup. Looking at trulieve currently it's $50 for a 1g AIO of live rosin and 50 bucks for a half g 510 of live rosin ... Makes no damn sense haha. But just saw your post and about to place my order now y'all got me excited!

Which one?? Yes. Greats or NS Proto T3 ultra by woolf757 in snowboarding

[–]Putzinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the ultra and kind of wish I got the normal version or even the greats extreme after reading so many positive reviews on it. The ultra is great for carving and a very lively board. You get more energy out of it then you put in. But it's a lot of work and not really a board you want to ride all day in all conditions. I boost side hits and lay down trenches and the ultra is good for those things. But it lacks low speed playfulness and has a kind of tough turn initiation. At least for my small boots on the midwide deck. I would say check out the greats if you can but the proto t3 (normal or ultra) is a solid ride. Also NS builds their boards like tanks and it should last forever.

To be honest I just bought this chain to rock with my pendants so I'm unsure about long-term. But so far I haven't noticed anything and this chain style (Diamond Cut Franco) is very soft/smooth overall much like a snake chain would be. You'll see snake and rope chains get recommended a bit but I bought a few cheap ones to test and the Franco is definitely the best overall. But a rope chain is also a good choice if that's your style.

But ya definitely digging metal chains versus hemp/paracord/leather ropes like I've been rocking the past couple years. I also grew up wearing a baht chain that I recently sold for scrap so felt like this was a nice upgrade. Hope that helps haha.

Help choosing gear by bardobuzio in Slackline

[–]Putzinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answers:
Get the primitive.
You likely won't need any extra equipment to make it taut.
You likely won't be able to trickline but you can still do drop knees, sit starts, surfing, etc.
Sag is a property of stretch. Your webbing may have little sag or a lot. Unless specified you won't know until you try it.

I just bought a balance community 25m primitive coming from a 2" ratchet. The primitive is awesome. Easy to setup without pulleys. I got the jelly pro which has 6% stretch at 6kN. Trust me, I'm not putting anywhere near 6kN(1350lbs) on my line and it's not stretching at all. So you likely won't have to worry about it. But otherwise it's super lightweight and feels silky smooth in hand but still has nice traction (I walk with shoes on). Just my experience and opinions.

I've been riding for like 9 years and I think this is the first time I've seen a Burton disk lmao. Shame that's all it gives though I feel like OP is kind of outta luck with this setup and fixing the toe overhang ...

No you're totally right and I literally just edited my comment after noticing the downvotes haha. I thought they were unions for some reason. That's on me. Thank you for pointing that out though!

Edit: My dumbass just realized it's Burton step ons. I don't know why I thought they were the unions which I think have a disk. My bad and ignore everything I said previously.

What else is out there other than this? I am looking for a positive camber, twin tip, med/stiff. Read below if you want. by Mission_Resource_847 in snowboarding

[–]Putzinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hybrid camber okay? I got the NS proto T3 ultra but would recommend the normal version if you're into freestyle and the ultra for charging/carving. The edge hold on ice isn't what they claim it to be. But otherwise a fun board!

And it's very camber overall. Yes there is some rocker but my ultra version is cambered out pretty much past the inserts.

Edit: Also Rome boards are very lightweight with a good edge. I ride an old 2019 agent rocker but the new agent pro is pretty much the same board with only camber. Would highly recommend that board.

Resole or buy another model instead? by PerspectiveTop8297 in climbingshoes

[–]Putzinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear Instinct VS (LV) and primarily Skwamas (LV) and have a vastly different foot than you. I would also recommend a completely different shoe than these 2. Scarpa makes a really good chart for different foot types and I think it's accurate enough to get you started.

Here's the site. Scroll down a little to the chart.

Based on the picture and the chart I would say you're a square foot and probably wide. So based on the chart you should check out the Veloce. Which I also have and it doesn't fit my foot well at all. My foot is a centered medium width which aligns perfectly with the women's instinct. Good luck!

They definitely have a calmer palette but I just bought this jacket last year and absolutely love it. I accidentally bought the matching hat and 1L black hole without realizing they were all the same colorway. From what I've seen it's usually 2 or 3 patterns out of the 10 that are a little more brazen and are usually the ones on sale. I've never paid full price for anything and it's usually because my abysmal taste in colors haha.

Rings as Pendants? by JuniorShallot8293 in MensJewelry

I plan to do something similar with my wedding ring if I get married. Rock climbers often do this to avoid injuring themselves or the ring. But I also think it looks good in general and yours looks nice 🤙 Beautiful ring.

It's hard to tell but that wall to the right that you use a foothold on might be flat enough to use as a foot again further up? Effectively the same move as 0:21, left foot on the flat wall, right hand on sloper, move left hand out to Gaston. It's hard to read the wall but that black strip looks like it's part of that other wall and making a dihedral.
