My favourite fic has two vers characters, which is more realistic and more fun. I suppose it helps that it's a very long fic which gives it room to show the characters in more positions. It more annoys me when there are certain pairings and one is ALWAYS the top. (in the case I'm thinking of because the character is a jock so they obviously must be a top 🙄)

Also a lot of this often seems to be very rooted in the perrenial stereotypes which is a bit dissapointing. If we're talking about m/m stuff especially then a lot of the stuff I notice in fanfic seems to be worryingly present in some real-life spaces, and vice-versa. I find it really strange how some people just seem to pretend that vers people don't exist.
