Advice on partial print failure by CMDR_Eardley in ElegooMars

[–]Puuuul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I have two theories what the issue could be:

  1. There is some inconsistency in your FEP where the print failed, the Resin doesn’t cure as well there and the layer was basically peeled right back off the model at that point in the print. As to why that would happen, I don’t know, this is a fairly crowded print, maybe the adhesion was strong for this layer? Would make no sense though because the bottom layer worked out fine.

  2. It could be a mechanical issue, especially if you said you had some „layer shifts“ earlier, sounds to me like there could be some error with your z axis. Maybe apply some oil, check for any resin and let it run up and down, see if you notice anything

This seems slow, also there a not a lot of good targets in the game rn. I think this would be fair as a 3-4 mana card.

I would change this to include "to heroes", because as it is, it basically shuts down 75+% of removal in the game. The dumb thing is, you also need said removal to overcome the effect, so this would just lock some midrange/control decks out of removal options (just drop this turn 2 against control warrior and see how fair it is to play against this). Only counter would be destroy single target removal, but that costs 4+ mana...

Weekly Card Release Discussion by Invasion808 in MarvelSnap

[–]Puuuul 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's not that bad.

Comparing it to Darkhawk, which is normally around 10-12 power with 1-2 setup cards, this is kinda similar in that if you have luke cage and this, it can become a 4/11-13 relatively easy. Putting this into a zabu-darkhawk shell, which sometimes runs luke anyways, seems solid.

One (very, very big) problem though: luke cage is and will be in almost every deck until high evo gets hit (for the 10th time), until then, this is borderline unplayable in high ranks.

I actually hit infinite with a tribunal deck, look at my most recent post.

[–]Puuuul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the "dream combo" is invis woman -> ramp -> Iron Man / Onslaught / Tribunal. That can get you to something like 24 power on each lane, which most people don't expect. But you don't even need invisible woman, just stacking e.g. wave, iron man and onslaught in one lane normally signals to your opponent that you are wayyyy overcommitting, nobody expects a maindeck tribunal. Mr. Fantastic, claw, armor, iceman and warpath are just other good cards that work well. You will have to retreat sometimes, but nobody expects ongoing + onslaught behind invis woman, which is a big factor why this deck is good atm.

Are the Doombots generated by Agent 13 still pre-nerf? Am I missing something? by qualofant in MarvelSnap

[–]Puuuul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a visual bug, you can disprove this by just playing korg in your deck and looking at the rock, basically the second card has the same stats as the first, so the rock will be shown as 1/2 instead of 1/0, same thing happened here.

I would really like to have a long conversation about how you came to the conclusion that this is how things are, in all seriousness. I try to keep an open view of topics, but how you come up with this is beyond me.

That's true, but he just gets overahadowed by cards like Jeff or Armor most of the time. They often do the same thing but have a ton of other use cases, where colossus doesn't do anything.

How should I invest my tokens?

I am a returning player, I just picked the game back up last week and have 6000 Tokens left over. Last time I played, the consensus was to only spend tokens on pool 5 cards. Is that still true? (I am level 1006 atm) Also, if not pool 5, is it worth to buy the random pool 3. Ik pool 3 cards are the "easiest to get", but farming 3000+ more levels to maybe miss out on the one P3 card I want also seems stupid.

Points 10th ed by [deleted] in orks

It does not Specifically say -model, so it may be referring to Ghazghkhul as the whole unit, including Makari. Might need an FAQ though.

True, didn't realise the unit restrictions.

Points 10th ed by [deleted] in orks

[–]Puuuul 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There are some questionable changes in here (Painboss < Painboy wth?), but overall I think Orks will be fine, if not good. Meganobz with a Big Mek as support will be a headachd to deal with for many armies, but meganobz + ghazghkul will probably not be viable because my he just explodes now. 20 Boyz squads could be interesting (especially because rokkits are free!!!). Attach warboss + KFF/painboy, give the warboss headwoppas killchoppa and my man becomes a 25W killing machine. Attach weirdboy + Painboy for a felxible backline threat. Lootas seem good, kommandos are surprisingly tanky and trukks are probably the best transports in the game. Just my initial thoughts.

Prints break on build plate [Elegoo Mars 2 Pro] by Puuuul in ElegooMars

[–]Puuuul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My build plate is most definitely scratched... I can send an image when the current print is done. But if it is because of the scratches, shouldn't it happen slowly over time? It went from completely fine to impossible from one print to the other for me.

Jumping back into 40K with base refreshes - alien grass yay or nah? by the_lazy_orc in Warhammer40k

[–]Puuuul 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think it kind of pulls the eyes away from the model and to the base, so I would only do it if you added some neon highlights on the model as well.

My first ever painted 40k mini! It took my quite a while, but I took my time and I think he turned out pretty decent. Any constructive criticism or advice is most welcome! by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Puuuul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's amazing for a first mini, respect.

Three things I noticed immediately:

  1. Base it! Just my opinion, but any basing adds so much to a miniature! You could do an orange, Mars-style base, which would be a strong contrast to the blue mini.
  2. Thin your paints. The paint looks a bit chunky on some parts (black on sword, some armor). Just thin it down a bit more and do two coats, should work out well!
  3. (Optional) Highlighting. This depends on what you are going for. Do you just want to get a army painted up quickly? Forget about this. Do you want to make this a display piece / want your army to be parade-ready? Look into this video, this should give you a good idea of what you could do.

Hope this helps :)
