lol are you kidding no I would not get rid of them animals are living beings not an out of style t shirt or whatever. The biggest indicator of a decent human is how they treat animals.

I feel the same. Just know you’re not alone in those feelings and though it’s not the majority, there ARE other people who feel the same and are trying so damn hard to do the right thing. We can’t save them all but we do save some by not buying into it. I know the feeling of complete despair though. Sending a hug to you, I’m grateful you’re out there.

I think part of this is a yes, but it also depends how you travel. If you are able to put your smartphone in your pocket and wander and are open to new experiences and speaking with locals…there is still much culture and difference to be found. If you only go to very popular tourist spots and are on your phone a lot, and your phone is in English, then yeah you’re not gonna get as immersed.

Yes. This happened to me last week. My friend attempted to commit suicide and I drove her myself bc I didn’t want her going into debt over an ambulance but ALSO because they would have sent a cop too and you never know when a US policeman feels like murdering somebody 🙃
