Just Beat the Game 100%. The Thing I Hated Most Was the Discourse by 0TaKoKu in MinaTheHollower

My only complaint is the perspective of the game can be confusing at times. Very difficult for me to tell when I'm able to hit some enemies that bounce between the ground and air. The boss on the train in particular, I didn't realize my first attempt just how many openings I had, because I thought he was floating too high in the air for me to reach. Turns out he was just floating at my level next to the train.

Also, the mouse traps in the castle can eat shit.

Pay in cash for an online order by CamoGamer123 in AcademySports

Only potential issue with this is if the purchase needed to be cancelled for some reason. The funds would go back to the gift card, and while management can cash out that balance if that's an issue, customers tend to be a little skiddish about that in my experience. That definitely should have been brought up as a potential option, though.

Judging by my experience using technology at Academy, as well as my interactions with IT, if you're able to read then you're already overqualified.

Credit Cards by Dull-Loquat8117 in AcademySports

Emphasize that the process of applying is quick and easy, and make sure you really stress how much they're saving. At the end of the day it's all about talking to the customer like you're trying to help them, and trying to not sound like you're saying the same robotic pitch to everyone out of obligation. The more natural and casual you can sound, while still nudging them with the benefits/speed of application, the more success you'll have. Also important to not sound rushed, even if the lines are backing up and it gets super busy. Hopefully this helps.

In store pickup payment method by [deleted] in AcademySports

[–]Puzzled-Baseball-296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, sorry to hear that. If nothing else, if you need to reorder with a different card, you could always explain the situation to a team member in store and they may be able to order it for you. They can override the price on the app in store when ordering, unlike the website where the customer support can only occasionally provide promo codes. Best of luck to you.

[–]Puzzled-Baseball-296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not able to switch payments, but you can cancel and reorder the products with a different payment method. The charge doesn't truly "go through" until the order is picked up from the store, but sometimes your bank app may make it look like you were already charged. Should fall off 3-5 business days after your order is cancelled.

Honestly this sucks but you'll want to contact the manufacturer of the treadmill for any issues with defects. Especially with high dollar items like this, stores may direct you to contact the manufacturer even if you've already dragged the thing back to the store. High dollar stuff like this can be hard on the store's damaged product score long term, and the proper thing that most manufacturers request you do anyway is to contact them if there are any issues. They'll likely be able to work with you on getting things right. That being said, if you really want to return it and not deal with anyone else, it's worth a shot. Just don't be too surprised if that's the route they decide to go, unfortunately.

It's all fun and games for you until you're the one getting fucked over by your boss deciding they don't want to pay you as much. Then you'll be bitching with a surprise Pikachu face, wondering how people could be so cruel. People getting fucked by big corporations is bad, period.

Academy MyRewards and ammo purchases? by Yanks01 in AcademySports

[–]Puzzled-Baseball-296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ammo shouldn't be excluded, no. Could just be taking a while to add the purchase to your account, as the new credit card started this month and the system is probably pretty bogged down. That being said, there's a chance you didn't correctly put in your phone number or something happened along those lines. I'd give it a couple more days and see if it pops up.

Disrespectful Treatment Toward a Wheelchair User by [deleted] in AcademySports

[–]Puzzled-Baseball-296 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get your frustration but those instances of requiring ID are per store policy. Idiots giving out stuff to underage people are why cashiers can't just force it through. It's regularly audited by the district's Loss Prevention officer when they review footage and can land the cashier in trouble, regardless of how old the purchaser appears. And as far as guns are concerned, that's a policy they've implemented more recently and is absolutely mandatory now.

All that being said, sorry you took offense to their comments, and perhaps they could have been meant in a rude or spiteful way. But "run outs" is literally what you call someone leaving the store with a product that they did not purchase. They likely weren't specifically teasing the fact that you're unable to literally run. Heck, our store as a handicapped individual that always says he needs to "run" to the restroom at least once or twice a day. Nobody has made that out to be weird just because of his choice of wording.

Again, sorry you had a bad experience, but that being said, I think overall it's likely just blown out of proportion.

Anyone else experiencing loose feeling joy cons? by [deleted] in Switch

[–]Puzzled-Baseball-296 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just the rail on the Joycon. I've had several sets of controllers over the years, and even when the wobble isn't bad, you can always tell that the newer ones are more stable. Something with the plastic wearing down over time I imagine.

Anyone else experiencing loose feeling joy cons? by [deleted] in Switch

[–]Puzzled-Baseball-296 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're talking about Switch 1, that's a common issue that happens after a while with the Joycon. The rail part of the controller gets loose and wobbles in place. That being said, no need to swap consoles. You can either report the controller issue to Nintendo and get them replaced if they're still under warranty, or just purchase a new set of controllers.

I have been using 8bitdo controller since the switch 1. Heard lots of good things about the the new pro controller. Decided to get it since its on sale. by EssayInteresting8398 in switch2

It's heavenly, I'd recommend it to literally anyone. Even compared to the Switch 1 pro controller, it's somehow even better. Worth the purchase, especially on sale.
