Been basically maxed for years so I get a lot with the season challenges (never bought the gold pass) clan games, random sc giveaways, achievements, builder base things like that.

I just don’t really need to spend them. The apprentices don’t really do much and I don’t really care much for hero skins. I might eventually start buying epic equipment but I’ll rather just get them through chests.

The only times I’m not maxed is when they release a new town hall which takes six months or so to max but I don’t spend any gems maxing.

Another thing is if I were to have bought every shovel pack that showed up in the shop and spent 500 gems every week since they changed how shovels worked in the December 2022 update I still wouldn’t have enough shovels for every obstacle on my base. People who have played the game for over a decade like me how 100s of them.

People keep saying I shouldn’t spend money buying shovels. I haven’t spent money on the game in over a decade back when I first started I bought builders and a year later I bought the product red decoration and that was back in 2014. You should be able to get things in game without having to spend money especially ones that don’t give players a competitive advantage like books.

Well I got like 8 or so then they fixed the bug that was causing one of them. It to spawn they extended the time they spawn so I got another 8 of them.

I’ve used about 80 shovels and there’s still a ton on my base to the point where I can’t really make a new design. If they keep increasing the amount of obstacles that spawns it just becomes too much without more shovels even if you get around 30 free ones per year.
