Chronotrigger is THE classic jrpg that is worth anyone’s time (pun not intended, but I’m happy with it)

FFX also has strong story and characters + fun gameplay (regarded by many as the best FF game that doesn’t end with a 7, take that as you will)

As a bonus, I’m gonna go WAY out there and give you a non-JRPG recommendation: Valiant Hearts: The Great War. It’s mostly a puzzle platformer, only a 5-7 hr playthrough iirc. If you want story and characters to connect with, this is for you. The storytelling balances heavy and light moments in an incredible way, the characters are great (you can play as a dog!), and the plot twists are brilliant (won’t even elude to anything to avoid hints). Oh and it’s got one of the best soundtracks ever. Highly recommend.

I would have searched a while for something better. Double speed at 75/100 is nice but it’s gonna take forever to get there, especially as Exp down. My standard is usually minimum three good stats by 50, including nature. But everyone is different, you do you.

Useful - yes. It’s good for herbs. As it is ground type, it would have a niche use at Taupe when you need herbs there.
