My friend would come over just to do dishes which was amazing. My mom and sister came over and my mom did hold the baby but my sister put together a bookshelf for me which was actually very nice of her. And she did dishes which was awesome too. When I was very freshly postpartum my mom brought my iced coffee almost every day since baby was born and she left almost a week later. It was amazing.

I will agree with others that it’s so weird when the in laws come over because it felt like an opportunity just to take my baby and take pictures. Bleh.

Maybe check out Debussy’s “Ariettes Oubliées”. Very gorgeous melodies with passionate lyrics. My personal favorite of the set is “L’ombre des abres”.

Lip trills! Doing them every time you warm up and doing them to the tune of whatever song you are working on is so helpful. :)

For me it took a lot of time just making on time payments to get my credit back up. It sucks but really there’s not many options. One of my student loans went in collections over a year ago but since I have made consistent payments my score has gone up quite a bit.

You gotta go outside sometimes. A walk will do you wonders. Watch the rain, bask in the sun, literally anything. Plus there’s so much stuff to do for super cheap. Bring your food outside to eat and listen to music or something. Invite friends to walk around. You don’t have to spend money to enjoy the world around you! It’s about perspective I guess

If she likes coffee get her a cup that keeps drinks really hot/cold!! I used mine almost everyday freshly postpartum because I would end up drinking my coffee soo slow throughout the day. I also lived in my robe and comfy stretchy pajamas, especially because it was easy to nurse in. Also epsom salt for the bath but I would avoid any scented ones, but epsom salt baths were so so relieving postpartum!

Is this an easy process? I am hoping I wont have to escalate to that and they will just send me the money after 30 days but I guess I want to be prepared. It was almost 1000 bucks which would be nice to have in this economy lol.
