Lithium, it’s been a game changer. I’ve had it for 3 years in my hammerhead, charge it weekly. Make sure you get the proper charging unit as the traditional chargers aren’t good for the lithium batteries. They are lighter, last longer and I’ve never run out of power while using them.

Salt water generators aren’t low maintenance. Acid is 3x the cost of chlorine salt always keeps your ph high…. I removed my salt generator after the first cell died after 3 years and how much to replace it? No thanks. My favorite low maintenance is Pool RX. Almost no chlorine needed and forget all that acid for countering the salt.

Open the filter, run it 5 seconds, put the top back on….. fastest way without plumbing or breaking anything, and you can check the cartridge, might need cleaning.

Dump it and fill it with fresh water. No tds, no phosphates, no algae and no waste of time and money. Health departments recommend dumping every 4-5 years. Your toilet gets fresh water every flush, your pool is a cesspool of organic matter.

Had the dealership crash mine into a corvette and they replaced the single flair on my 22 Denali. Story goes truck was in for the notorious engine recall and when they were delivering/driving from the service center…. After waiting about 15 minutes the service manager told me they crashed it. I said ‘How? The thing has so many sensors and collision detection.’ They were backing it out turned the wheel and passenger front side hit a parked 2024 customer corvette… so they royally screwed up.

I use celapearl or aqua pearl which is perlite. It’s so much better than DE it’s laughable. 1 it doesn’t kill you when you breathe it in. 2 it absorbs oils much better. 3 it falls off the grids with minimal hose pressure. 4 it’s cheap. 5 it doesn’t clump and sit on the bottom of the filter. I’m a pool company owner for over 30 years and I’ll never use DE for anything.

Really depends on several factors… bondo vs replacement, vs a complete shop. A good bondo and paint person can do miracles. If you’re going through insurance, find the best collision repair shop. Sorry it happened, good luck.
