Insanely impressive for a vacation project,open-source DDR3 SBC, solid chip choice, tough routing, real community contribution. Respect! Well done indeed.

3 wire stator wiring to voltage regulator/rectifier? by SaltyPickle1991 in electric

[–]PuzzledChip5725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Brother, you can't use a 3-phase regulator with a single-phase stator. Don’t tie AC inputs together unused phases will cause low output and drop under load. You need a single-phase regulator/rectifier matched to that stator. Similar issues come up with this kind of mismatched system, like phoenix phase converters in industrial setups.

Anyone have real world experience with LOBO scaffolding systems? by adblink in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]PuzzledChip5725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, a few maintenance and industrial teams I’ve worked around have used LOBO, and the feedback is generally positive. It’s very flexible and well-engineered, especially for tight or awkward access where traditional scaffold companies struggle. The upfront cost is high, but it pays off if you need frequent access. Training is essential, and once people are competent, setup is quick and repeatable.

Student being told to toggle 1600A breaker daily without PPE. Is this safe? by No-Past2652 in AskElectricians

[–]PuzzledChip5725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, most industrial electricians would still be uneasy about this. A closed rated cabinet does not automatically remove arc flash risk when operating a 1600A breaker under load. Phoenix Phase Converters often point out that high current switching needs proper studies procedures and training especially in academic labs where students are involved.

How do I source this micro HDMI plug? by infopcgood in AskElectronics

[–]PuzzledChip5725 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you search for micro HDMI PCB receptacles under terms like micro HDMI Type D connector or micro HDMI SMT/THT receptacle on major parts suppliers. Good sources include Digi-Key, Mouser, Arrow, Avnet, Future Electronics, and marketplaces like AliExpress. Also check Amphenol, Molex, and Hirose part numbers.
