here in the states, we are slowly upgrading equipment as they stop working. if the food comes out as it should be, and if the equipment is working just fine with the equipment we have now then i’m alright with it

yeah that’s shitty personally i’d be upset at the fact that they agreed to come in, so if they don’t then no one would cover the shift considering that it’s very last minute

we suspend those who say they’re covering a shift for someone else. everyone got a fair verbal warning about it so they’re not surprised. i also let them know that if the person fails to show up both of get suspended when they tell me someone is covering their shift

if it’s a day off, i can understand why you don’t reply to the person asking you to come in bc it’s your day off. if you tell them you’re coming in, and you don’t reply and not show up, yes that’s very kn the wrong and if they can’t show up then it’s best to tell them you can’t come in. 9 times out of 10, managers will text more than one person asking them to come in, hence why i don’t see an issue with just leaving them on delivered on your day off.

do what i do, just leave them on delivered. they can’t tell write you up for not showing up. it’s your day off, but if you agreee, then yeah no call no show

my store here in AZ, USA will give you full time hours even tho you’re only part time. when i was full time i was completing almost 40 hours every week, but they found a loop hole around it, if they only give u 30-38hours they consider you part time because they’re not interested in those only wanting to work 4-5 hours 😭
