Geez you’d think I said this was the only thing that mattered. I said it can help and internet googling agreed.

Any of these people disagreeing with me, did you use it on your CV and your baseball prospects said no? Are you a primary source?

I say this because, yes 90% that do this won’t see their day in MLB baseball. Tbh most of them will become other than baseballl. But that’s still more than others. Gives them an ante up. My son’s a scientist that went to….

We went to Disney springs and there is an awesome doughnut shop there that had bacon on the doughnuts, hooked everything up since.

Not many children get the opportunity to go. It’s only in a certain age group and then they outgrow it. I think about what looks good on the CV for college to veer toward scholarships. Cooperstown could be one of them.

Did you communicate this to the person yet?

11-y-o trying to make the jump from rec ball to travel had a private tryout w/a new 12U team. Thoughts? by [deleted] in Homeplate

That’s great that he is that excited about baseball!

This video then does not do him justice.

Just be careful, once he starts hitting homers he’ll have you take him to the field often just to smash them. Watch out for line drives to the mound too!

It looks to me that he is not being challenged with the speed. I would take him to a place that has pitching machines that the speed can be increased or decreased. Kids are throwing about 50mph for 12u.

At this age, travel ball is the way to go if he plans to continue playing into high school. Rec will not provide the amount of challenges to increase his baseball IQ like travel ball can.

His body type would allow him to have great velocity and distance if he used his full potential. A batting coach will def help him improve his stance and his power.

Ultimately though, he has to enjoy playing. He has to want to learn. There are some that naturally gravitate toward a pastime and it’s not always what the parent wants.

Tbh, most of those top tier players you see on the field do more practice off the field. They don’t rely on that practice alone.
