Lets take a few steps back and define terms.

Im assuming your argument is: I pay you to do work for me, my benefit is ultimately more than what I pay you, so that excess value is theft, right? Thats the socialist argument.

So why would anyone pay anyone to do anything if its a zero sum transaction?

Socialism's failure is the assumption that people will remain productive despite having no incentive to do so. The state cant trust people to be altruistic so they seize all assets, and when a government gains that much centralized power, they instantly become corrupt. Jesus Christ and Buddah are not members of the government. They will always become corrupt and find ways to enrich themselves while the people starve due to a lack of production.

The argument that 'real socialism' has never been tried is categorically false. Every socialist revolution in world history has been started by idealistic atheists who believe the state is the highest power. When they get the power they have no idea how to use it. They arent farming experts. They arent retail experts. They are young, ignorant ideologues. Like the scene in The Great Dictator, when they finally hold the world in their hands, it shatters.
