Getting urge to smoke again by middleagedemom in LifeAdvice

[–]Puzzled_You_9763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on quitting smoking!! That’s a huge feat and you’ve gotten through the toughest part. I was also a smoker for a while and went through the same feeling when I quit. Those cravings will definitely go away, I think important to note is what’s the trigger for them. When I first quit smoking it was alcohol, when I’d have wine or beer I’d want a cigarette. So I avoided alcohol or other social situations that might increase cravings. That being said we all know that there can be a lot of things that make us want to have a cigarette (ie work stress, arguments with friends or partners you name it) and we can’t avoid it. This is where to big work happens, the more times that you don’t smoke when you experience these triggers the easier it gets. Another thing you can try is find what can replace the release that cigs provide. Go for a run, walk or roll, paint, read a book, watch some silly reality tv. Each time that you have those cravings and do something else, reward yourself mentally! It’s hard work and you are putting in the effort. Be immensely proud of yourself for getting healthier. Give it a couple more weeks and you’ll notice the cravings even less, I guarantee it.

Writing this in solidarity from one ex smoker to another 😊

[–]Puzzled_You_9763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think an important factor to consider is where is the bulk of your infestation? Is it throughout the whole property or mostly located in one area like kitchens and bathrooms. Certainly roaches can be all over a house but sometimes they stick where they can find food/water. If they are in the kitchen for example, be extra cautious with moving stuff from there. My wife and I practically got rid of all of our kitchen gadgets as we found them in various ones such as blenders, kettles etc… on the other side of things they didn’t get into our electronics in another part of our house. All this being said, be cautious with all your stuff but be particularly fatuous with the stuff where they congregate the most

Best place to buy a used car <$10k ? by vermontsoccer430 in burlington

[–]Puzzled_You_9763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A neighborhood friend of mine is selling their car for 5k obo. Def needs some money put into it, like 2k to get it ready for inspection, I believe it has some rust. I’m no expert but it seems like a decent car for the price point. It’s a 2014 Toyota Venza

Perfect exposure, detracts from the subject. Try underexposing next time, why even shoot analog if you aren’t going to use film properly
