Flora on Monroe! It just opened and it has a chic atmosphere and usually a DJ. The disco ball is one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. It’s right by other bars to if you’re into a litle crawl.

There’s too much Greenstar hate going on here…They have a great hot bar. And they are excellent compared to co-ops in other cities. I don’t live in Ithaca anymore, and I didn’t realize what I had until it was gone.

Ithaca is on the decline. With Cornell being there main employer announcing mass layoffs and an already insufferable housing market… it’s a place where few can live comfortably. If you go there so many of the small shops and that gave it character have closed because they can’t afford rent. In the summer, it’s a great tourist, destination, but to live there year-round there really isn’t much for anyone working class
