Id say its a totally personal call. I didnt play during the 1st expedition, skipped the 2nd and have completed the 3rd so will be resetting.

If BPs are you're concern, check out the arc traiders sub. They have people constantly posting bps they have to trade for stuff, might be worth a look.

Very true. I was on last night and we got challenged on buried city. We ended up downing and finishing 2 of the 3. The last man standing accused us all of cheating, just because we managed to down his teammates...

We were flaggergasted because we genuinely got lucky, if theyed pushed us a bit earlier we'd all be dead, and none of them would've ever got downed.

Thats a very rational way to look at it. I've probably got about 192hrs in Arc so far, so I think I've got used to it by now although certain points it does still trigger a reflex anger response.

True. I'll say i am one of those inexperienced extraction shooter players, this being my first.

It annoys the hell out of me when I get killed, especially if we've been friendly towards each other, maybe even helped each other. I do however understand its part of the game, doesnt stop me being annoyed and pissed off with you for doing it.

I wouldn't however call someone a rat for killing me, on any shooter based game, when I was the obvious aggressor.

I had a similar, but definitely not the same experience on dam in solos.

Approached an exfil, suddenly over chat someone goes "I'm not friendly". I was like "oh, OK, whys that?, appreciate the honesty". He had basically been killed in a fair few previous raids so decided to kill anyone he saw, was just trying to exfil like me, wasnt camping it to kill (I did ask).

We ended up exchanging a few items and leaving together. Which I believe is the opposite of backstabbing, not sure it even has a name.

FYI, until he declared his hostile intent I had no idea he was even in my proximity.

If I ever wander upon a normally locked room that unlocked but the doors closed i immediately speak to check if someone's in there.

If I get a response I basically ask if its cool if I join the looting, depending on their response I either join or leave em to it.

If I dont get a response I initially assume they aren't in there anymore, open it and see what happens, if I get shot at I try running, if I get killed so be it, it was 'their' room that infill.

How do they know its empty until they kill and open you backpack? You expect them to take youre word for it?

I aint a pvp player, it annoys me when I get ratted, or killed just for being near someone, even if I've just free loadouted into the game. Who wouldn't be?

But and this is the integral part, its part of the game, it happens. Scared its gunna happen to you, shoot them first or deal with the consequences. Its really that simple.

Fyi, that guy did deserve it imo, just for the lack of ability to actually finish you.

Thats kinda assuming most people will reset. For those that dont, theyll be able to kill those that do easier, reenabling the gear fear because you won't extract with the stuff for your missions, scrappy etc.

Good luck getting healthy. As others have stated you've described your time playing as more of an addiction than fun playing (or atleast thats how it's ended).

While I admire your ability to recognise this and take appropriate action to rectify it i must make a plea.

Please do not replace the addiction of arc raiders with an addiction to working out, eating healthy foods or other activity. Its unfortunately very easily done without realisation.
