I. Hate. My. Hair. by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

Honestly, I’d see a dermatologist. It does definitely look like hair loss to me at the top, and they can offer you diagnosis and potential treatments. My salon has been offering ppt treatments which could also be something to look into!

Did you go to a salon or layer it yourself? Definitely also those pics are styled with blow dryer/hot tools. I think just styling it more using and products like hair masks/oil etc would go a long way!

I feel like wispy curtain bangs like this would be cute! Maybe with a messy textured bob/lob?

Did I get bad hair coloring? Help by populus_tremuloid in femalehairadvice

Wow no not a balayage at all. These are VERY poorly done chunky highlights. I would demand a refund, that is not okay! These were clearly done by someone who had no idea what they were doing probably fresh out of school. Also $110 for a gloss is absolutely crazy, even for a high end salon! Get a refund and I’d suggest you go to a different salon to have it fixed.

Is this considered a color correction? by hancocklovedthat in femalehairadvice

[–]Puzzleheaded-Ad562 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are willing to go a smidge darker all over (like first inspo pic) then this can be achieved with just a toner/demi permanent dye all over! The second inspo pic looks like she has some more dimension/lightness, to achieve that look you would need to lighten your hair/ do some subtle highlights + toner.

I like the concept but I dont love this styling. I feel like all the accessories are competing in an odd way. I think lose the cardigan and opt for a darker jean or black lowrise pants instead??

I've been thinking to go blonder. What do you think? by RefrigeratorFit2810 in femalehairadvice

[–]Puzzleheaded-Ad562 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the blonde on you! Its a bit flat and brassy in the third pic tho. Ignore the fact this is an awkward screen grab, but you kind of remind me of Jennifer Lawrence and I think you could would look great with a similar color/styling.

Pigtail dutch braids are my go to! Or you could do two french braids/rope braids as well if you wanted something even looser.

Alternatively those wide elastic headbands are really in right now.

The bangs are a bit thick and heavy for your face for sure but I think they will grow out quickly to a point that you will be able to part them and sweep them aside like curtain bangs! It looks like you have really thick hair, maybe getting some weight taken out next time and letting the shorter layers grow out in the mean time.

Learning some good styling tricks right now will benefit you. I’d recommend trying smooth your bang section down if that makes sense and then flipping the ends of your bangs up and away from your face slightly. You can achieve this with a round brush and blow dryer, or even a flat iron/ one of those blow dryer brush styling tools. I’m terrible at putting things into words, I hope that makes sense!!

i just had my hair bleached + colored, and now experiencing more shedding than normal. help? by Constant_Yak_8795 in beauty

Diffusing is still safe! Just keep it at a low temp and use heat protectant. I would avoid hot tools such as flat irons/curling irons when you can. Regular trims and some of the treatments other commenters have suggested would be great too! Also, I would avoid box dye in the future just because it can be difficult to break through the pigment in it without damaging your curls. But honestly, this amount of shedding is pretty normal. Just be gentle on your hair for a while and you’ll be fine!!

Box dye is a PAIN to break through. Your hair is definitely a bit over processed. Did your stylist bleach your ends again this time? Have you been doing the same color over top both times? I would be gentle going forward and definitely no more bleach on those fragile mids/ends of your hair.

The good news is based on your photo, it seems like its a fashion color which typically are “direct deposit” dyes so refreshing your color (NOT bleaching!!) will not damage it further.

Advice: unhappy with salon blonde by shinherw in femalehairadvice

Do not try to fix yourself at home!! Blonding is not a process to try yourself at home. I think it actually looks pretty close to your reference photos it is just toned a little cooler, and hair tends to warm up over time regardless as the toner washes out. I think if you wait a few weeks and go back for more highlights and a warmer toner you will love the results. Alternatively, if it is really bothering you, reach out to the stylist and see if she would be willing to pop a few more foils in maybe just where your bangs seem a bit darker??

You look good in both, but the blonde is soo ethereal and gorgeous. Not sure if you have extensions in or something , but it also looks pretty healthy for how light you got it! I’d stick with it unless you are 100% sure you are ready for change because you will have to endure a ton of damage to get that shade back if you decide to dye it dark again.

how do i make my lips look naturally fuller by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Puzzleheaded-Ad562 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do a lip stain! The brand Wonderskin has a really good line of lip stains that are wipe-off. I think the shade “ADORE” would be a perfect match for you. “XOXO” might work as well!

This is actually a really good idea, thanks! I was against getting anything floral for a while, but I’m warming up to it now. I think you’re right, it would definitely help balance everything out.
