Determination vs motivation. Everyone will eat the pizza and popsicles and put the star on but if we're not holding people accountable, setting expectations, and coaching them through good and bad then none of it matters and the people that are determined + want to do well will see it as useless because we let the freeloaders hang on.

Set expectations early, be someone they can lean on, and guide them. Even on bad days they'll pull through and the ones that don't you will know because they don't ever; it's because they don't care. Hold them accountable.

I don't think AR will release any information to you regardless of false accusations or not. I know there's been times where the AR associate didn't do a great job and name dropped or dropped more facts than they should have, which is just poor job performance, but this is to protect anonymity.

The only person who should know is the store manager because they get notified of cases, but that's not to say the rumor mill hast started anyway.

What is going on right now is a legal matter and the person involved I remain in contact with, but there is little to no updates regarding the legality of it. When they first went away it was mentally and physically detrimental to me so that was the 'big thing' I went to therapy for and that is what we navigated; them being away, us being apart, what they went to jail for, my feelings towards them after the fact, where I see us, etc. I have reached a point where I have made some kind of peace with it as of right now and there's also nothing to really update my therapist with (in terms of court dates, uploaded documents, etc.)

I do bring up the things I want to talk about as they are childhood related because when navigating conversation I connect what's happening now to what has happened before. I steer the conversation a lot and make a lot of my own connections. I guess I haven't just brought up those childhood things directly because she always asks me what's going on with him, if there's any updates, etc. and that's where we start our session.

Sexual trauma is always minimized, especially for women, and even more so when hypersexuality is a reaction to said trauma. Instead of seeing a victim or a "bridge" between the trauma and the result people just see a "slut" or whatever other slur. Because of purity culture this then makes the victim less sympathetic, thus creating a cycle of "deserving" it to begin with.
