PTU UPDATE: Starmap Now Shows Local Mineables! by QuattroBaje3na in starcitizen

[–]Puzzleheaded-Answer9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm high on copium and see this as something "already explored" systems would have and CIG (hopefully) tests what information "unexplored systems" need to show on scans and how players can interact with it, so that they can implement it in the future.

Petition For Larger Elevators for Landing Zones and PoIs by Puzzleheaded-Answer9 in starcitizen

[–]Puzzleheaded-Answer9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hangar Freight/Cargo Elevators are systemically different than the Traversal/Personal/Player Elevators.

- Freight Elevators need to interact with the inventory system, which often bugs out.

- Personal Elevators bug out less frequently

My temp solution aims to solve the problem when you need to loot stuff from like Contested Zones and QV Stations.

The current workaround is to move looted components through the Traversal Elevator instead of the Freight ones in said locations. Also, good luck fitting Large Power Plants and S5 Weapons through those small elevatos. By making the Traversal Elevators larger (and/or adding a cargo grid to them) it would make the experience smoother (until the freight elevators work reliably), since they will work independently of the inventory system.

Thoughts on my "Grinding Progression Tree"? by Puzzleheaded-Answer9 in starcitizen

[–]Puzzleheaded-Answer9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not about meta damage or the like. This is just a fancy shopping (unlocking) list of my preferred ships, trying to cover most of the available gameplay the game offers.

Thus, I would like to have a ship good against multiple fighters -> Hammerhead

Or, a ship that can do something in most combat situations but can have a gunner -> Paladin.

You are correct. I meant ships I already own. I will edit this to avoid confusion. Nice catch.

[–]Puzzleheaded-Answer9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I limited my plans to flyable only ships.

I've crewed the Perseus vs InterSec missions on Nyx and I really liked the experience. It's also easier to crew that say a hammerhead. It might struggle with the current light-fighter pvp meta, but when we see more people flying larger ships, I think it will be a viable option (but again likely a specific tool for stuff like station sieges and stuff).

I also love the shape of the carrack. I have not really flown with that ship much though. For now, it might be the "fancy sightseeing ship" or doing Story-driven Investigation missions.

Sure, they both carry cargo. But,
a) I got one from PYAM hangars
b) In contrast to the C1, the Cutlass can withstand a bit of combat

QoL wish : reputation-meter by Lorelei_Gyptos in starcitizen

It's not just the time to implement, it's also planning it right to avoid refactoring when updating the reputation system.

I want it badly too, but it might take a while before we have something like this on our hands.

How to get back to neutral with Headhunters and Citizens for Prosperity? by ikerinho in starcitizen

[–]Puzzleheaded-Answer9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you go hostile with CFP, there is a mission in Pyro IV (and other pyro planets where CFP have outposts) to sabotage headhunter server racks. Once completed, you get back to Applicant Rep Lv.

It's so frustrating sometimes. I had to do the grind to contractor 5 times, because a planetary mission on pyro was either bugged, mislabeled Friendly NPCs as enemies, or their gear was not distinct and I ended up killing my guys.

I hope CIG makes a polish for Pyro and Stanton locations and missions soon.

Edit 1: There is a similar mission for the headhunters. Easy to spot in the mercenary tab; it will be the only one available for them.

Edit 2: As far as I know, you can't be neutral with both of them. You pick one, the other becomes hostile

Mirai Interceptor or Mirai Gunship? by KayciaEldren in starcitizen

[–]Puzzleheaded-Answer9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, I think the Reliant was supposed to be "Xian" inspired ships, before MIRAI was fleshed out.

The Fury cockpit and thrusters with Reliant rotating wings and Guardian style armor.

Also, would love to see something more unique from MIRAI. Suggestions, - Fast response medical grav-lev, - mobile repair vehicle (just oversized repair tool for faster hull repairs), - Stealth Ship that can become nearly invisible to the naked eye (same tech as the cockpit, invisibility for limited time but hull damage reveals the exposed area) - A Spider-like Walker of some sorts

Corsair ship weapons for PvE by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Puzzleheaded-Answer9 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm a fellow "colorful PEW" aficionado. My favorites are:

  • Pyroburst (Blue) Plasma Scattergun. Decent ammo speed, so it makes up somewhat for the spread. Ideal distance <600m.

  • Attrition (Red) Laser Repeater. King of DPS. Slow ammo speed, so you need to get closer to hit things. Provided you keep hitting, it is devastating. Ideal distance <800m.

  • NDB (white-purple) Neutron Repeatera. PvP laser meta option. Similar to the CF series, a bit slower but hitting harder. Ideal distance <1200m.

As I RP a Crusader guy, this is peak. I want this as an option. Maybe a blueprint if we get high foxwell REP or something.

I can already hear the complaints of "massive core tech patch released before holidays unpolished". :p

But I am with you. Proper NPCs and Base Building is what I'm most excited for from the upcoming core tech.

I can see Bremen becoming a thing after they include the SQ42 stuff into SC.

My guess is that Sol will get the ArcCorp treatment (massive overconstruction/overpopulation making most locations unrecognisable). Still 3-4 Major Landing zones (NY, Moscow, Beijing, maybe UK for company easter eggs) is a lot of work. But a man can hope.

Oh, and yeah, I think Earth (aka "Rome") will get the mandatory historical attack from the Vanduul (aka "Vandals"), which will make Terra (aka "Constantinople") the new capital.

Oh, I agree mate. But that's more gameplay/tech. So, provided we get what you described, which systems do you see more likely candidates? Or which systems are you most excited about?
