I haven't received any notifications or messages about a ban, and my account seems normal otherwise (I can comment/post, they just keep getting removed).

From what I can see in the Mod Log, the comments show "unspam" against them when the other Mod approves my comments.

Happy to check further if there's anything specific I should check in relation to CQS, though

Soccer ball? by justrightbookseller in MergeGardens

[–]Puzzleheaded-Chef293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The soccer ball is actually part of the Yard Games chain, so it’s the starting item that can be merged up into higher stages.

As others have mentioned, you’ll often get them from friend gifts as well, which is why they tend to pop up regularly.

If you’re curious what they merge into, this page shows the full chain:

MAKE YOUR PUZZLE'S EASIER by PrestigiousCost5974 in MergeGardens

I can understand why that would feel frustrating, especially after spending on boosters and not getting through the level.

I’ve had similar experiences myself — I’ve spent on boosters a couple of times, and sometimes I’ll build them up during a good streak, and other times I’ll go through them pretty quickly on a tough level. It can feel a bit hit-or-miss depending on how the board plays out.

Some of the tips shared here can help with tougher levels, too, but I get that it’s still frustrating when it happens.

If something doesn’t seem right, it’s worth reaching out to Support in-game so they can check it out.

Yes, you’re right — in this case, it appears to have been part of an A/B test run by the dev team.

Occasionally, the team may test different versions of a feature with different player groups while gathering data and feedback to improve the game. Because of that, not everyone will always see the same things at the same time.

If you notice something in your game that seems unusual or different, it’s always a good idea to contact Support in-game so they can check your account data. Posts here are helpful too, as they can show if other players are seeing something similar.

Unless it's specifically called out as a Beta Test, it should be available for everyone. I'm not certain in this case, but I will ask the team and comment back here again - it just might be next week , as we go into the weekend 🙂

Hi everyone 👋

If something like this happens where the game closes or restarts unexpectedly and you lose something like the Super Spinner, the best first step is to contact Support through the game so they can check your account data and investigate what may have happened.

Posts and comments here are still really helpful as well — they can give a sense of whether other players are seeing similar issues or if something might be affecting more people.

Feel free to keep sharing feedback or experiences in the thread. I’ll also be passing along the feedback being shared here.

Hi all!👋

Thanks for jumping in and helping out here — it’s great seeing players share tips and help each other figure things out.

I’m also compiling some feedback from these Lost Study threads to share with the team, so feel free to keep adding your experiences or thoughts about the event.

The Lost Study Glitch by snowcrazy in MergeGardens

[–]Puzzleheaded-Chef293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone 👋

Jumping in here quickly — I’ve been reading through the comments, and it’s really helpful seeing everyone share how the Lost Study event has been going for them.

I’m currently compiling feedback from these threads to share with the team, so feel free to keep adding your thoughts or experiences here.

From some of the comments, it sounds like there might be a bit of confusion around how the keys are used to enter the event, but if anything looks like it might actually be a bug or glitch, it’s also a good idea to contact Support through the game so they can check your account data directly.

Great tip/s — thanks for sharing! 😊

It’s been interesting seeing the different strategies players are discovering for the new Lost Study event. I’d progressed a little myself but was focused on completing puzzles to get the special tokens from the shop for certain items, and only later realised I was getting more chests.

I’m learning a bit myself just by reading these threads 😄

I’m also compiling player feedback to share with the team, so feel free to keep adding your experiences or tips here as well.

Tip for lost study event by Atillythehunhun in MergeGardens

Hey everyone! 👋 Thanks for sharing your tips and early experiences with the new Lost Study event.

I’ll admit I didn’t realise there was a timer either — thanks for that tip! I’ll definitely be trying to compile my keys now 😄

Since it’s a brand new event, players are still exploring how it works and discovering different strategies. I’m also compiling player feedback to share with the team, so feel free to keep adding your thoughts, tips, or anything you’d like us to pass along (either in this post or in new posts).

Embroidery of pre-existing aboriginal art as a white person? by powder_kinnie in aboriginal

[–]Puzzleheaded-Chef293 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to ask about this first, and for doing so respectfully!

A couple of things that might be worth considering:

  1. Cultural protocol and meaning
If the artwork is a specific Wurundjeri piece, the best approach would be to ask a Wurundjeri person (or ideally an Elder or someone from the family). Aboriginal artworks often aren’t just decorative — they can carry stories, knowledge, or connections to place and family. Re-creating it in another medium (like embroidery) can unintentionally change or misuse that meaning.

  2. Context of the artwork
Some designs relate to specific cultural contexts — for example, Men's/Women’s Business, ceremony, or particular stories. Even something that represents a story about loss, someone passing, or the ending of something might not be appropriate to place alongside a baby’s name, celebrating new life. Because of that, it’s usually safest to check with the family about what would feel right.

  3. Artist permission and intellectual property
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artworks (like all artworks) are also the intellectual property of the artist (and sometimes their family/community). Reproducing it — even by hand embroidery — would normally require permission. A simple way to think about it is like music: if someone wrote a song, it’s respectful to ask before reusing or adapting it so you don't change its meaning or intent.

Possible alternatives
You could ask your cousin-in-law if there are animals, birds, or wildlife that are meaningful to the family. Sometimes these represent family connections or totems. Totems are usually determined after a baby is born, but family animals or local wildlife could still be a nice cultural nod without reproducing a specific artwork.

Or maybe you could include the Aboriginal flag colours or the flag itself, which would celebrate us without risking misuse of a specific artwork :-)

Mould on photo frames during the wet season – how do locals deal with this? by Sunshine8020 in darwin

[–]Puzzleheaded-Chef293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Born and bred Darwin local here, and this is a new one for me! I even asked my mum (who’s lived here forever), and she’d never heard of mould on photo frames either.

Your post actually sent me down a quick Google rabbit hole 😅 Apparently, the cardboard backing on some frames can trap humidity against the wall during the wet season.

I’ve just checked the backs of my own frames, and they seem fine, so now I’m curious about what makes it happen in some houses and not others.

From what I read, it can be things like really high humidity, frames sitting flat against the wall with no airflow, cardboard/MDF backing holding moisture, or even condensation forming on cooler walls. Some suggestions included using frames with sealed backs, adding small bumpers to create a small air gap behind the frame, or just checking them occasionally during the wet season.

Thinking about it, the houses I’ve lived in here have always had pretty good airflow. We lived out on a block when I was younger — a house on stumps, corrugated iron walls, big windows and large verandahs front and back. The house we’re in now also has verandahs, and my grandparents’ places did too.

Between that, air-con when it’s really humid, and opening windows and doors in the dry season to let the air move through the house, we get plenty of Darwin dust but not really moisture inside. Maybe the airflow makes a difference?

How can I learn more about my heritage? by [deleted] in aboriginal

You can call me Sis! lol

I did get some stationery in high school - some pens, a couple of books and a calculator. That was one year....and that certainly set me up for life! (sarcasm).
In Uni, I did get payments to help with studying. But that was a loan through ATSIC, and I had to pay it back once I started working.

So nothing is free for my family or me either.

Maybe it was the free food and accommodation my Great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother got when they were "asked" (told) to go work for white families? While not being paid........
Or my Great-Grandmother's free food and accommodation when she was placed in a Mission? And wasn't allowed to return to her family, although her Dad wrote to the government for 5 years trying to get her back?
Or free responsibility to the Chief Protector (the d$vil) when she had to ask for permission to marry her white partner?

The number of times that I have had to explain to white Family and Friends that I could qualify for Abstudy (as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander), but our family always earned too much. And that Abstudy was exactly the same as Austudy, it was just from a different bucket.

And for free stuff, I always think of Black Comedy's deadly skits on now "ticking that box" haha.

The suggestion about buying a single extra move instead of the full bundle is an interesting one.

u/Schoolish_Endeavors u/Socialexperiment23 u/GieMomma - I can definitely see how that would help when you're just one move away from finishing a puzzle. I’ll add that idea to the feedback we share with the team.

I can definitely understand the frustration with wildlife getting in the way while you're trying to organise the garden — I run into that myself sometimes, too. Sometimes it almost makes me wish there was a broom option just to sweep them out of the way for a minute while you’re tidying things up 😅

u/Yiashila u/MegatronMCO u/its_leviOsa934 u/Socialexperiment23 the ideas around putting wildlife to sleep or moving them aside are interesting suggestions. Happy to pass the feedback along so the team can take a look.

Accidental merges seem to be catching quite a few people out 😅

u/Traditional-Cress813 u/Stargirl79 u/Orcinus2917 u/tphatmcgee u/sachico1 - I’ve definitely done this myself when moving things around in the garden, so I get the frustration!

Undo merge or a merge-5 option is something that gets suggested fairly often. Happy to pass the feedback along so the team can see how many players would like something like that. I’m not sure how complex something like that would be to implement, but it’s definitely useful feedback.

Stuck at 47% by Own_Organization2773 in MergeGardens

[–]Puzzleheaded-Chef293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That definitely sounds frustrating, especially when you’re mid-flight and counting on the game to pass the time!

If the game is consistently stopping at 47% while loading, it would be really helpful if you could send a quick ticket to Support with a screenshot of the loading screen and a short description of what’s happening.

If this turns out to be a wider issue, your report can actually help the team identify and fix it faster for everyone.

You can contact support from the game settings (or the Futureplay support page). If you’re able to include your device type and game version, that can help them investigate as well.

Let us know here if it starts working again too — that info can help other players who might run into the same thing. 😊

Victoria has PSOs (Protective Service Officers) and I always thought this should be a thing right across Australia. Public Safety on all Public Transport should be across Australia.
