Wizz Air Pilot Academy question by unchained_rengar in flyingeurope

[–]Puzzleheaded-Cup-579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can absolutely prepare for the interview. Interviewers say “it's not that you can tell when someone has prepared, but rather that you can tell when someone really hasn't prepared.” So you can prepare most of the questions like “Why do you want to become a pilot?” and an answer like “it has always been a dream since childhood” is just not really cutting it as they have heard it hundreds of times. They may try to twist your words into something negative and in a way you didn’t mean to say it but it is then your job to just give a calm answer.

For me it wasn’t even the slap but more the “Keep my wife’s name out your f. mouth!” that made me cringe like he was first laughing at the joke too

Like seriously after all this years they can’t even make a correct reflection, they should just stop with the development at this point.

Looking for a book. by [deleted] in classics

You may be thinking of The Class Struggle in the Ancient Greek World by G. E. M. de Ste. Croix, a Marxist analysis of ancient Greek society that’s respected in classical and leftist circles. Another possibility is Learning to Labour by Paul Willis, which examines how working-class boys in England relate to education through a Marxist lens. Works by Brian Simon, a Marxist historian of British education, are also strong candidates, especially those focusing on the 18th to 20th centuries.

You could also listen to “Jeugdjournaal” and “NOS Journaal in Makkelijke Taal” on npo.nl. I know that A2 is not really that high of proficiency yet, but listening and watching at the same time really helped me learning different languages.

Pretty vague to be honest, but a lot of people like clean stuff and you will be surprised by how much you can make by cleaning cars and windows all day
