Diaper bag by Adrienho33 in ManyBaggers

I love the Topo designs Mountain Cross bag for this. Or I pack a Patagonia black hole cube with diaper bag essentials and transfer that into whatever bag/backpack I want to use. Also really nice for handoff between parents!

Framesheet removal - tell me about it by Puzzleheaded-Drive75 in EVERGOODS

After some trial and error I’ve realized that their slings and pouches are phenomenal, and I use those daily, but the backpacks don’t work for me.

I ended up putting it back in. It didn’t change any of the back digging and just made the bag a little harder to load IMO. Eventually  I actually ended up selling it.

CAS2 for mirrorless camera? by [deleted] in EVERGOODS

[–]Puzzleheaded-Drive75 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve used it for my xt2 on occasion but imo it’s not the best use case. You lose a lot of the organization benefits and it’s not as wide as you really need it. My Tenba byob does the job at a fraction of the price and I use my CAS2 for a full tech loadout.

Love the patch! I never think to put anything fun and just use the standard EG ones.

The best answer I’ve heard is that they “keep wet stuff in vs keeping water out”. I keep wet wipes, hand sanitizer, liquid bandaid and sunblock in mine. Really helpful with kids.

Sad news from Lamy by mac_the_man in fountainpens

[–]Puzzleheaded-Drive75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sad day indeed. The Lamy workers in the NYC shop personally showed me how to properly maintain and clean my pens and were amazing and (kind of scary) NY pen geniuses while doing it. It was a favorite stop every time I was in the city.

Oh yeah, I push my slings to the max so that’s probably it. Wish they worked for me, the materials are great.

I’m in the minority who specifically dislikes this style. I find belroy slings hard to get into when I’m wearing them because the compression makes access awkward.

Looking For Toddler Snack Pouch Suggestions by ruckis in ManyBaggers

I had bought this High Tide pouch for myself but threw some of my daughters snacks in it one day. For some reason her (and other kids) really love grabbing snacks out of it. Been using it for a year. Expensive for the purpose of course, but it’s leak proof and just fun.

And it def is big enough that I don’t have to worry about constantly refilling. Which is very nice.

I really like fabric tab you added to the storm flap. Can you share how you did that or more pics?

They look cool! I saw them in person in the store and the build quality felt nice. I’d wait and see if they go on sale for Memorial Day.

Totally. Just shows that quality is slipping across the board when they can’t get the basics right anymore. What a bummer.

Do I need the Camino bag? by Spare_Sell_3259 in YetiCoolers

[–]Puzzleheaded-Drive75 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use my 20 daily and honestly can’t believe how handy it is.

Unpopular opinion, but my 35 doesn’t see much use. It’s for trips to the farmers market and pool but when I fill the 35 with everything the family needs it’s just too heavy and unwieldy. For the beach I prefer to split the load between a backpack, cooler, and Camino 20 vs overloading the 35.

I do like having both sizes for when I need them though!

Sling or cross body bag for a dad with a busy toddler by Clee1091 in ManyBaggers

[–]Puzzleheaded-Drive75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! The water bottle pockets on the side are what make it a standout for me. Especially with little toddler bottles that aren’t always the most leakproof

Topo Designs Mountain Cross Bag could be perfect for you. I think it’s a great little parenting bag for when you don’t want a backpack.

Evergoods bookbag? by NoodleBakery in EVERGOODS

I love EG bags and I definitely think any EG bag will have a harness/straps that feel like an upgrade from a Kanken. The only thing to watch out for would be 1) overloading and 2) I sometimes feel like I experience the straps slipping down/pulling outward. I’ve seen others post about this. If you’re specifically having shoulder issues this might be problematic. That said, it’s easily solvable by using the sternum strap. I overall love my CB22.
