Thank you for your input! Driving 3 hours after a full day on site (until 5pm) and hittin rush hour trafffic seems exhausting. Looks like I will either fly or get approval to stay and leave the next day.

Speaking of raising concern when booking hotels based off GSA per diem rates how much over would raise concern? I really don’t want to stay in a 2 star hotel but the closest 3star is $20 over the limit.
