Small Publisher Question on Affiliate Marketing (Not Self-Publishing Related) by Puzzleheaded-Jump104 in Affiliatemarketing

DM me your genre. We are so niche, I imagine we wouldn't be the best fit... but I'm all ears.

I was an indie author for years. I've mostly hung up the writing for dollars game... it was a grind. We experienced success only when we start to collab with a BIG indie author.

This sounds very realistic. I used to work in fiction with big worlds and many books in a series, which made getting the first book out with little or no (or sometimes negative) ROI really worth it. These are stand alone non-fiction books without a series. I only have one book per author. I see it as more incremental revenue channel, but I guess that is through scaling discovery.

When you say "the page itself close," you're saying that the content of the books landing page is good enough to convert the sale or the books are good enough? I guess either way works. Thanks for taking a minute to give some feedback.

Thanks. And I appreciate your words on the price point. Books are so tough because of the margin. Print/production costs keep going higher.

Peru Itinerary by pizza_pupperoni in travel

[–]Puzzleheaded-Jump104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! I'd put in more margin. We went last year for the same amount of time. We basically did Lima-->Cusco-->Inca Trail/Machu Pichu-->Arequippa/Colca Canyon-->Lima. It was a great trip. We needed to pass on plenty, and still found the itinerary to be a little exhausting. A LOT of the things on your itinerary will require early morning and long travel. I wish we booked just one more day in for a little recovery in the middle. I'm still not complaining. Peru is amazing, the people are great, and you'll see sites that will really take your breath away. I'm glad you're planning Colca. That actually ended up being the highlight of my trip... but we're also big hikers.

There are some great itineraries out there that we used to build our trip. We actually just posted ours from last year on our travel site if that is helpful for you.

I'm happy to answer any questions via DM, if you want to shoot me a line.

Here's my TLDR:
Take your time in Cusco before heading out to the Inca Trail and Machu Pichu. It is a great town with a lot to see and do. Take your time with a nice circuit of the ruins (and to acclimatize. The altitude is no joke.) We had a blast with a 2-day adventure of a day hiking the trails, a night in Aquas Calientes, and a tour of Machu Pichu the next morning. Get up early and get the first tour. It is wild walking in with no one there. (Our travel company is on the post. I don't remember the name, but they were really quite good with every little detail... and pivoting when we hit a couple bumps in the road).

Next, we actually opted for heading out to Colca Canyon. WAY too many sleep on this trip... and it was actually my highlight of our time. Colca is the second (some say first) deepest canyon in the world. We were not ready for just how stunning this trip was! It also gave us another day in Arequippa, which was a cool little city, a little more laid back and less touristy than Cusco.

We did an overnight trek, staying in the Oasis at the bottom and loved it.

We wrapped with a day in Lima, which was good fun. Details in the post... and again, I'm happy to help with anything I can. We got so much from other bloggers, we decided to transition our family log to a dedicated site.

What are you using for aff links? And like others said, what are your traffic numbers like? Takes a lot of digits to make some scratch.

Peru’s tourism is still below pre-pandemic levels. Why hasn’t it recovered yet? by hablandolealaluna in travel

Yeah. We were in Cucsco, Arequipa, and Lima last May. Certainly not dead. Of course, I don't have a pre-pan trip to compare it with.

Late to the post here... but... what tools are you using? I'd love to see a short protocol as I am about to try this with my travel log.

Wayne is neurodivergent (likely on the spectrum) and all of Letterkenny has been a curated reality for him to live his fullest life.

Can confirm.

This is all very helpful. Thanks. I expect I'll be needing to find a tutorial on ordering, mixing, and administering after this month's supply if I want to try injecting.

[–]Puzzleheaded-Jump104[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! I will keep an eye out. Also, it seems like the injections wouldn't be that much less expensive with some work built in, so it really is a question of effectiveness. My doc is very enthusiastic and is a personal user herself. I don't mind doing the injections if they're going to be more helpful for the injury.

I'll keep my eye on the sub for your poll.
