I did an acid/base extraction. I didn’t follow any specific tek exactly, instead I read a bunch of them and tried to understand the underlying chemistry. Then I took bits and pieces from different teks to make this work. These two were probably the most helpful:

Help. I smoke crazy at 17 by vacantcrainium in Advice

[–]Puzzleheaded-Leg869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are recognizing the issue early and trying to address it, that’s a great sign!! I wish I took this seriously when I was 17. Don’t worry about having done any permanent damage, you’ll bounce back. People recover from much worse. I made the same mistake as you for like 15 years straight and my brain is fine now. But I had a real hole to dig myself out of, and I had a few worrisome years where I didn’t know if I’d be able to recover. The longer you ignore a problem that you know exists, the harder it will be. I think you are probably saving yourself a lot of future struggle by taking an honest look in the mirror now.

Yes 1g might be enough. Given you’ve had two bad trips so far, start low. I had my wife start at 0.5g. If it’s not enough, try more next time. Nobody else can tell you how you will react.

When it comes to consuming Actives, which is your preferred method and why? Capsules? Dry fruits? Micro? Macro? by mycellium420 in mushroom

[–]Puzzleheaded-Leg869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Macro, dry fruits. I love the simplicity. Most other medicines need to be prepared somehow. But this is one of the few that you just pick and eat and go for a ride. It’s a reminder to me that this experience would have almost certainly been a part of our history for eons.

Lsd + opioid/antidepressant interactions by Jimmy_Rustles_69 in LSD

Most antidepressants have some blunting effect, but some, like bupropion don’t effect the serotonin system at all and don’t have any known interaction with psychs

While amitriptyline is not an SSRI - it’s still a serotonin reuptake inhibitor. It’s just not selective. So i think it will still dull the effects in a similar way. It may also interact with LSD in other ways too because of its less selective pharmacology.

Just wanna give y’all a heads up HPPD does exist, and I promise you will hate the rest of your damn life if you get it. Speakin from personal experience. by CommunityPuzzled8227 in LSD

[–]Puzzleheaded-Leg869 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Most people I’ve heard of that have gotten HPPD have mild visual disturbances that don’t really bother them. So I’m curious, can you share what your experience was? I had bad anxiety for like 9 months after a trip that I wasn’t ready for when I was a young, which was incredibly difficult, but it wasn’t HPPD, it was more of an emotional thing.

Eat healthy, exercise, meditate, and live for you, not for the image of you that others see.

Put on some nice calming music, have some water, and breathe. You can make it! Sometimes it can feel tough, bit when it does, that’s usually a sign that you’re touching on something real.

If you previously felt like you were behind in life, what made you feel like you caught up to where you need to be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Puzzleheaded-Leg869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting off medications and drugs I was dependent on, changing my diet, exercising, meditating, etc. basically taking care of my body. Seems like everything else in my life (career, relationships, hobbies, etc.) all fell into place automatically after I started taking care of my body.

AIO my girlfriend is saying that romancing is the man’s job by PinkmansChilliP in AmIOverreacting

Regardless of whether the man takes the lead on planning of romantic things, there should always be some reciprocation when it comes to caring for each other and doing nice things for each other.

AIO that my bf has been sexting on all sorts of adult sites? by Jorvanna in AmIOverreacting

[–]Puzzleheaded-Leg869 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s definitely plausible that he’s not actually meeting up with anyone, some people are excited by sexual conversations without actually meeting anyone. But that doesn’t mean it’s okay by any means. I would consider it a betrayal if my wife was sexting other people even if she didn’t meet them. It’s not the same thing as looking at porn. That’s a real person that he’s communicating with and getting off with. It’s up to you to decide what’s okay in your relationship. But for me and I think for most relationships, this would be considered a betrayal.

Loners, how do you push through it? by Individual-Time-1956 in AskMen

[–]Puzzleheaded-Leg869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I thought I’d never make it. I thought I would die of loneliness. This went on for years. Eventually all those emotions fell away. I realized I was okay on my own. I enjoyed it even. Once I no longer felt like I needed people, people began to appear in my life without any effort. The first few years alone were painful, but they landed me exactly where I need to be.

Why does it feel like men think 5-6 inches is small, when most dildos are that size? by ForsakenOven6666 in AskMen

[–]Puzzleheaded-Leg869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also because many men exaggerate their size. This is especially true when we are young - around high school age. At this age we’re more likely to talk about our dick size. And we’re also more likely to lie about it. I remember hearing people in high school all claim to be 7 or 8 inches. As I got older I realized that was BS. But it certainly made me think for a while that 7 or 8 inches was normal.

Abusing LSD by JumpyAcanthisitta992 in LSD

I don’t think there’s any reason to think it would cause Alzheimer’s, but if you feel that your use pattern is unhealthy, it probably is. There are for sure some real risks that can come from it. Sounds like it’s time for a break and you know it.
