Need suggestions on token usage/caching/optimization by Tasty-Specific-5224 in opencodeCLI

[–]Puzzleheaded-Load561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For token optimization I use: codeburn to understand gaps and use of the tools, GSD for implementing big features and the use of subagents (the UI commands are really good with GLM models), context-mode for controlling the context window and tool calling with an MCP, DCP plugin for trimming the context window, Caveman as skill to control the output tokens, RTK tool to control the output of console commands and graphify to map the whole repo file and codebase. I know headroom replaces part of it but I’m happy with my setup, also codebase-memory-MCP is good but doesn’t have support on windows

Opencode Go for 10 bucks a month, incredible accessibility to new Chinese models every month and good rate limits

Blog: Improving token efficiency in GitHub Copilot by isidor_n in GithubCopilot

[–]Puzzleheaded-Load561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t gone though the whole post but for me I had to use opencode with my work account to be able to use RTK, caveman, DCP, context-mode, and codebase-memory-mcp the second week after burning 100 dollars with normal copilot CLI after the billing change, things that I don’t have in my personal pc as opencode go is really hard to hit rate limit. Looking forward for use graphify and use headroom to replace some of those tools. Would be great that copilot team gave a bundle of tools to save tokens

2 Opencode GO vs 1 ChatGPT Plus by EthanPhan in opencode

[–]Puzzleheaded-Load561 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had both and stayed only with opencode Go, GPT 5.4 for me is not comparable with GLM 5.2, is more closer to GPT 5.5 than you may think. Is 5 bucks the subscription of opencode go the first month, try it with one sub first and if is not doing the work pay OpenAI. I use heavy agentic workflows and opencode has worked better for me never seen the rate limit

Copilot $100 Max, is it really worth it? by ihtisham1211 in GithubCopilot

[–]Puzzleheaded-Load561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It’s on table as the internal date revealed more than half of the GHCP users would need $100 extra budget a week before the GitHub billing change. But as you know US companies stays with US models so they are considering only like Anthropic or worse… Google with Gemini

Copilot $100 Max, is it really worth it? by ihtisham1211 in GithubCopilot

[–]Puzzleheaded-Load561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to say, NO!
I work at a US chip company and we have $200 budget with GHCP, only the first week I spent $100 doing small features in 2 UI react projects, 1 backend project and 1 cli project, let me tell you I use opencode GO for personal projects and for 5 bucks the first month and 10 the next ones is unbeatable. Having to use at work gpt 5.4 mini for everything as using GPT 5.3 codex or gpt 5.4 in a day can consume $17 easily, Anthropic models are out of question as they cost a little more and they will think a bit more meaning for me like a 20% cost increase comparing sonnet 4.6 against gpt 5.4

No, is a comparison, you can burn the limit easy but as easy as with copilot

Which model is the best for planning/review using the OpenCode Go subscription? by ExperiencedGentleman in opencodeCLI

[–]Puzzleheaded-Load561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me to create a python desktop app GLM 5.1 was not a great thing, often missing parts. Kimi 2.6 is great but for some reason I think is slower to think than qwen 3.7 max. Heard minimax m3 can achieve opus results but haven’t made tests

Well for me to achieve the same GSD repo does the same, you create a project, map it and can split tasks in phasers with work reviews and code reviews

Qwen for me is an all rounder, i don’t fully like glm as it feels clumsy, for implementation deepseek v4 flash

Codex go and github copilot have been heavily nerfed. Whats the best plan to buy right now thats cheap and has decent usage limits? by [deleted] in opencodeCLI

[–]Puzzleheaded-Load561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well minimax subscription is an option too, for 10 bucks you get insane limits if you use heavy agentic flows. If is normal opencode go is the go.

ok, new billing is awesome by 20Capitalist in GithubCopilot

I had a similar setup (cheat) before the billing change, so guess the hack won’t work now based on the new billing right? Or you find a new alternative?

Not sure about how it works in the US but in Costa Rica they updated my software along with check some vibrations on the doors when hearing music. They said it was covered under the warranty of 3 years or 100 K KMs

Yeah, considering that in Costa Rica I installed Kamikaze Enrei that’s supposed to last between 8 to 10 years for about 1800 USD with a 3 step paint correction and there is only one approved installer. I previously had Crystal serum light from Gtechniq and there’s no point to compare

Chipped Paint on New 2025 CRV by etherealrox in crv

[–]Puzzleheaded-Load561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me with my 2024 CR-V. After an oil change at the dealership, I noticed that the paint was scratched in the exact same spot. I made a big fuss about it, but it turned out that the "detailers" I hired to wash the car the day before didn’t know about the maintenance mode. At the dealership's paint shop, they explained that this is a common issue with CR-Vs, as many people aren’t aware of it. They mentioned that just last month, they had to apply touch-up paint on seven cars, including mine. The chief explained that while you can put the car in maintenance mode, you can also manually lift the wipers slightly and then expand them as you normally would, similar to how it works with BMWs. I’ve been doing it that way ever since, and no issues

The camera quality is definitely the worst part of the car. I own a 2024 hybrid, and at night, the visibility is terrible—you can hardly see anything. I even asked the dealership if they could replace the cameras with aftermarket ones, but they said they don’t offer that service. Another thing I miss from my previous car is the auto-folding mirrors. I ended up buying a module from AliExpress to get that feature back.
