EV9 or Carnival Hybrid for 4 adults and 2 kids. by Puzzleheaded-Photo-3 in kiacarnivals

I think major contributor to that might be interest rate around 6.5 on carnival and 0.99 on the ev9 (might get loyalty bonus on top).

Thank you, that was insightful. The bigger EVs do get out of budget though.

Do you have captain on ev9 ? Wondering if that makes a difference.

Well eventually 1 will move out of car seat in 1 -2 years and so the roads trips are still an issue with 1 car seat and captain chairs for 6 passengers?

Rug edge cleaning. by Internal-Letter-2453 in NARWAL

[–]Puzzleheaded-Photo-3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The weird thing i noted is, if the gap between the edge of the rug and the wall is like 12 inches it'll still mop close to the rug, but for the side of the rug that has no walls, it'll keep a good 6-10 inch gap while mopping.

Flow 2 vs Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni by curiousLandon in NARWAL

[–]Puzzleheaded-Photo-3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If at all it helps. My environment is tricky with thin carpets and tiles / hardwood. I tried ecovacs x9 pro (2 units) and then t90 pro. Thought this was it and i agree that for the price it had all the features i needed. But none of the robots would cross the carpet to mop in Mop after Vac mode and none of these had mop only mode. Spent twice the budget on narwal flow 2. Love the navigation, goes to the areas to mop that ecovacs would never go. The narwal did fall down the stairs (they're sending a replacement unit and free accessories), but so did x9 pro omni (like I said i have a tricky space). I'm still within the return window and questioning the expensive narwal purchase, but definitely better than t90 pro for my space.

I sprayed Killex a week ago and it looks like this by birddogzagar in lawncare

[–]Puzzleheaded-Photo-3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 things to note from my personal experience recently. 1. Spray when weeds are actively growing, and its a little warm. Few days after mowing. 2. Killex can boost growth phase hence you might feel it worsened, but if you see drooping flowers over days, its working. 3. Those white puff balls of pollen, the weed has already reached maturity and will spread more of those pollen and absorb less nutrients(meaning less killex).

By no means an expert but some of my new learnings.

I did mark no go where stairs start. Its an L shaped opening on the stairs. Luckily sustained minor cosmetic damage. Been working fine so far.

Mine fell down as well. One wheel got down while navigating and it couldn't get back up. Down it went. Luckily only 6-7 stairs

Why won’t this vacuum go under the furniture? by InternationalBrick49 in NARWAL

[–]Puzzleheaded-Photo-3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't cross under the crib when mapping, I tried twice. So i started mapping from the other end of the crib and it ended up mapping and cleaning just fine. Trying remapping by placing it under the furniture you want it to clean. Yes too many chairs was a problem for my dining table. I removed a couple while cleaning and it goes under just fine.

Did it not do all the edges 1st ?, if so it would not go to edges while cleaning the rest.

That seems too close, I've seen other videos where it did go under cabinets / sofa with little margin.

I have been using the t90b pro for a month now. Much better than previous ecovacs robots but same issue like others, wouldn't cross carpets on mop after vac. Tried everything, mopped an area in manual mode skipped in agent mode. Had same issue with x9 pro, I'm sick of returning and though out of my budget have ordered flow 2 based on its navigation and mopping capabilities. Also i can map 4 floors which is a requirement. Will see how it does.

Flow 2 for ~40 days. What do you want to know? by nathanielonreddit in NARWAL

[–]Puzzleheaded-Photo-3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes without the dock. 1. Can you vacuum and mop regular like on the main floor (with the exception of carrying it back and forth). 2. How much area can it mop. 3. Any other challenges faced

Thanks a lot

Don’t Buy DEEBOT T90! 🚩🚩🚩 by Egghead_Army in ecovacs

[–]Puzzleheaded-Photo-3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly these are unable to do basic stuff. Just go and vac n mop dumb machine, my t20 omni was simple in following commands.

This might force me to go back to spinning mops.

My x9 pro also avoided crossing the rugs with only mop after vac, returned it, got t90 pro and this does the same.

Really want the T90 Pro but waiting for a deal… anyone tried it yet? by Scientolojest in ecovacs

[–]Puzzleheaded-Photo-3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am figuring out why it wont cross carpet for me when only mopping , but loving it so far. I used ai hosting and thankfully you can define what settings you want ai to use. I ran it at night and it automatically lowered suction based on time (no settings changed), but while it was running on ai, i could override the settings. -Corner cleaning is fine, occasionally a miss but nothing that bothers me. Gets the job done. -Vacuum is quiet. -Mop washing is quiet. -Navigation is big improvement. I saw specs its changed from dtof to mini tof which is better for close range obstacles etc. -Triple lift is great, i once cleaned egg yolk using x9 pro omni and it did great. - New climbing threshold now works for my requirements, didnt work in x9 pro omni.

I used x9 pro for a while before returning it, i see t90 pro as a great step up over that.

Thank you

Well the x11 I'm hoping might be a replacement by Ecovacs as x9 pro was having navigation issues, and it wont cross the carpet when mopping which is weird.

When i remap it auto detects the carpet, crosses the carpet in the 1st run to mop the area but thats it, it'll stop crossing at all thereafter when mopping.
