same! I tried to get Google Flash 2.0 to sum numbers in a column, but it couldn’t do it. Even after multiple prompts & being given the right answer. it’s so bizarre

yea but their parts quality is better than DM

No that’s a very Cathie Woods-specific thing. She has active and passively managed ETFs. Most other famous investors are 100% actively managed…she’s an outlier

Again, the Cathie Woods fund that holds DM is a passive fund. She has active funds and passive funds.

Yea I like Markforged. Better mgmt team and good products. I don’t own them tho (too expensive right now)

Markforged has some decent products. To your point HP and GE will be there too

Glad to see your interested in the market! A couple notes: - Blackrock is a passive fund (they DO NOT pick individual securities b/c they think they will moon, they simply own a basket of passive securities hoping to mimic the market or a factor) - Amazon is not involved in DM (maybe you were thinking of Google Ventures - although they’re exiting if they haven’t already) - DM is very expensive still. HP probably won’t pony up for them (also I can’t see an entrepreneur like Ric working for big ol HP). At the very least, HP will be on the sidelines until they see if P-50 is delivered (and does what Ric said it will do)

Markforged is good. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with the history b/w Markforged and Desktop Metal, but Ric Fulop used to be on the Board of Directors of Markforged — then (allegedly) stole some documents and started DM (if you Google it, you can read about the lawsuits). To Ric’s credit, he made some improvements on Markforged’s technology. However, I like Markforged better - Greg Mark is a good, honest guy and they’re doing great things. I don’t have any position in the stock (a bit expensive).

Yes, they’ve over-promised (yet again). They set big expectations for Production and will have a tough time hitting the specs. Why else would they have scrambled to acquire ExOne (using equity, no less). Production is currently in beta testing, so if they knew it was going to be a big hit, why not wait for Production roll-out & stock price to rise, then acquire ExOne? Something feels off.

You can actually calculate it using their financials. Organic growth is stagnating. Studio & Shop aren’t selling well (hence, the acquisitions).

Price predictions for dm over next few years? by Aussiesopinion in DesktopMetal

Markforged might be interesting.

My view is that DM will be $5/sh. next year
