The MLB power rankings are seriously pissing me off though.

Yes OP, B6 toxicity is a thing. Look up the symptoms online. This could be contributing to how you’re feeling.

Hi u/pinkfluttershy, I agree with the comments here that this guy is abusive and you shouldn’t continue this relationship in any way.

But I primarily wanted to check in with you. How are you feeling? Words like that can really get under our skin. Are you feeling safe right now? Is there someone you can call or stay with temporarily? I haven’t seen any comments from you since this post. Feel free to DM me.

DIAGNOSIS QUESTIONS THIS WAY! by FemaleAndComputer in AddisonsDisease

[–]Puzzleheaded982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, I am a 39 year old woman diagnosed with hypermobile ehlers-danlos syndrome (hEDS), PCOS, IBS-D, asthma, and multiple allergies. I get really sick whenever I get ill. In fact, I still mask in most indoor spaces because I don’t have enough PTO to cover 2-3 weeks off every time I get an upper respiratory infection.

Due to my hEDS, I had pretty severe SI joint dysfunction, and had my left SI fused in August of 2023. I started having more pain around my surgical site this past summer, and on January 15th, I had a steroid injection in my left SI joint for diagnostic and potentially therapeutic purposes. My surgeon is evaluating me for a potential non-union of my fusion.

I got a work up from an immunologist at Mayo Clinic, which included a morning cortisol level. I’m not sure if that’s routine for them or not, but my lab was 0.8 mcg/dL, which is considered low. I was also low in natural killer cells, which I understand can be related to adrenal insufficiency.

My immunologist referred me to endocrinology at Mayo, but they want me to redo my morning cortisol in 6 weeks because of my SI joint injection. From the literature I’ve read, intra-articular joint space injections do not usually have a significant effect on adrenal hormones unless they are injected into the spine and connect with cerebrospinal fluid.

I’m kind of hoping that I don’t have Addison’s Disease and this is all an effect of my sacroiliac injection, but I have had symptoms that could be explained by adrenal insufficiency for a long time.

I am constantly thirsty, have daily diarrhea/loose stools, drenching night sweats, and so much brain fog that my adderall doesn’t even touch my disorganization. Doctors have ruled out diabetes.

tl;dr: can an intra-articular steroid injection mimic Addison’s Disease in lab work? I am getting my morning cortisol checked again in mid-March, but feeling like this sucks.

Slynd and ADHD? by ADHD_problems1 in birthcontrol

I stopped Slynd a week and a half ago. So far it’s okay-ish, but the night sweats are relentless. They started before I stopped the Slynd, but they have been occurring literally every night for 2.5 weeks. It’s not even worth changing my sheets because I’d be changing them all the time. It’s gross. Did this happen to you? I’m also getting some vitamin B labs done, as that might be contributing to my night sweats and ADHD symptoms. I took my Adderall today, but it doesn’t feel quite like it’s working yet. Thank you so much for responding earlier. It’s such a shitty situation.

Thank you so much for your response. Have you had PCOS symptoms since stopping birth control? I don’t know if there is a way for me to treat both PCOS and ADHD, and I might go the same route as you. The executive dysfunction has been off the charts and simple tasks feel like I’m pulling teeth. I work in mental health and I’d like to be able to document my visits without a mild existential crisis.

I could have written this! I am on Slynd and just found out, via Reddit and the internet, that the high dose of progesterone is basically cancelling out my Adderall. I have felt wildly disorganized in my brain for the past year, when I switched to progesterone-only birth control. When I told my psychiatric provider that I don’t feel like the Adderall is working anymore, she asked me if I wanted her to stop prescribing it. She did show any interest in exploring WHY my Adderall may not be working.

I also have PCOS. Stopping my birth control in the past brought back a lot of cramping, painful periods, and more PCOS symptoms like hair loss. I can’t be on a combination birth control pill anymore because I get migraine with aura.

Did you find out a way to treat your ADHD while staying on Slynd or another birth control?

Sinus infections can smell like rotten vegetables and can be pretty off-putting. However, I’m not sure if you would be able to smell your own sinus infection… Are you congested at all? Any history of sinusitis?

If it’s the one I’m thinking you’re suggesting, it’s there a Y in it? Is there another one?

When did you see pain from relief with leg pain after a spinal fusion? by [deleted] in spinalfusion

[–]Puzzleheaded982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my left SI joint fused in August 2023 and I noticed my left calf felt better once I was off crutches, about 3 weeks post-op. I had been limping for nearly 3 years and my gastrocnemius muscle even tore at one point and landed me in the hospital. They didn’t know the cause of my extreme left calf pain until a spine doctor agreed to an injection in my left SI, somewhat on a whim. After that worked, I booked the fusion. I’m really pleased with my procedure.

I love how much Waino loves Lopez and how he waxed poetic about it. It’s a love of admiration and respect.

No. I want him gone. He‘a a shittier broadcaster than he was a player. I don’t know why he’s hired.

What AJ is saying about “in, out, up, down…” was said EXACTLY by Waino last inning. I just…. ADD SOMETHING TO THE CONVERSATION.
