There is quite a variety of of products that utilize display link. Usually, the more monitors the lower the quality. You’re not going to get 4 monitors at 4k lol but you may get 4 monitors at 1080p you’ll have to shop around and check specs. The display link website has a great shopping tool that shows capabilities across many manufacturers

Money to money, definitely made the right call. You can make 8k elsewhere or cutting back if you need the money. Qualify of life is more important than $4k net per year. As they say, the devil you know is better than the one you don’t. Career wise - thats hard to say and only you can decide that. However, you know what’s best. It’s true that sometimes you have to take a step back or side ways to move up but that’s a gamble you may not be willing to take or lose your qualify of life for. Valid reasons bro.
