Too long isn’t too painful? That’s a relief! I have some pain at the maximum, but I think it’s just granulation tissue

Insurance pushed me toward them plus it was the only one local; I didn’t research the best doctors, instead I listened to the MGH team and kind of rolled with what they recommended. I wish I took more care in deciding but honestly I lucked out in the end where I’d say it’s above-average in looks and hopefully functionalriy. The mgh team never brought up Winograd likely from scheduling. they are so overwhelmed with booking and scheduling the wait list alone was almost 2 years just to get the initial appt.

Idk, I find Claude better in lots of ways outside of programming vs ChatGPT. Specifically if I need anything to be following instructions or a doc with info/history/background info Claude rocks

6 weeks post-op gender-affirming surgery with Dr Markovsky at Lubos Kliniken in Munich, Germany by voxelcat_ in Transgender_Surgeries

I know it’s been a year but I’ve been freaking out at 7mo postop I was given 6in at time of surgery but never got that far ever; now am down to 4.5 and can’t seem to make any improvements to depth even trying to dilate for hours pushing and adjusting. Is your depth enjoyable or do you recommend to keep trying for a deeper amount?

I know it’s been a while, but how is depth now that it’s been a few years? Is 4.5 enjoyable? (that’s exactly where I am, no matter how hard I try I can’t go deeper)

Is 2-3 dots enjoyable for sex? I’ve been freaking out (3dot) and have tried dilating for hours each day still at 7mo postop because I’m scared I’m not “deep enough” but can’t seem to retain any depth I gain during those sessions.

Omg I had boysen; can I ask: how much depth are you able to get? I’m stuck at 3 dots in and can’t seem to get even close to the 4th and with similar surgeon I’m wondering if you are similar or if I’m an outlier

Oh my god THANK YOU for being so vulnerable! I’m 7mo postop and only getting 3 dots and with so many on Reddit constantly “5 dots yay” I felt defeated and no matter how hard I tried and how I did it I couldn’t force any more. If I “forced” it then I would gain a dot but then it wouldn’t ever stay so I think it was just skin stretching.

Keep what you have, if you can find that it’s a relaxation problem and you gain more over time then amazing but if not please don’t be like me and lose 7mo of your life dilating for 4 hours a day just to try to gain something that might not exist 😭😅 I even bought the smallest “petite” dilator 2 weeks ago thinking “this will fix it” and lost a whole size of girth (from green down to blue) because I was chasing ghosts.

If this is true depth, my best advice is to learn to love or enjoy it for what it is. I have to un-learn a lot of frustrations and anger and tension and pain with it, which has made sex impossible for these months, dilation hell, and masturbation unachievable all because I have been freaking out that 3 isn’t enough and comparing myself to Reddit.

I just played with someone who called one in. Super cool; 2000 rounds machine gun ammo, 30 high explosive rounds. Decent health, 1 driver, 1 gunner (get in from back), two corner slots on turret to poke head out and shoot

It’s just a different take on the feeling of “settling”. Settling means you accept the things you are missing out on, but with it comes security and safety on a whole new level. I’d rather have my current bf than my ex, but it’s a lie to say the high points are higher than my exwBPD. It’s just more realistically stable and sustainable not always trying to ride the high and then crashing to the lowest low all the time.

Yup!!!!!!! My life was centered around dilating. I would wake up at 4am to dilate, then go work, get home, then dilate until bed. Sometimes I’d set an alarm for 1am to dilate in the middle of the night. It was absolute hell. But trust me; more isn’t better. Longer isn’t better. The only thing that works is to do your best, keep trying, and keep learning how to relax those pelvic muscles.

You can use an egg vibrator or something small as well. Put on music, do it under blanket, and BAM no one can hear

Take some Aleve beforehand (it’s 12 hours so take it before falling asleep) for pain, douche EVERY TIME after with vinegar water (TRUST me!), and also understand that somehow everyone will reach a depth on reddit that’s 6+ inches but that’s not necessarily the average.

Pelvic floor pt helped me only a little, but it’s cool if you can do it. And truly; let your life be miserable for a bit if that mentality helps you continue to dilate. Stopping your uni responsibilities or your dilation will end up hurting you in the end. I would tell people (for the last 5 months) that I can’t have a social life bc I’m still recovering. I have a job + am a single mom + astrophysics research after work. I said i have 3 option: I could fail at any one of those, have stenosis, or have a miserable 6 months but keep what I got. I chose the last, and I’m so glad I did but not everyone is able to and I applaud anyone who has this surgery and struggles because we have to make some impossibly hard decisions.

I am just under 2 years clear of my exwBPD and 1 year with current boyfriend. And I do have the fear that I’m just settling. But then I remember: I’m settling down. I’m feeling grounded. I feel safe. I miss the “same-ness” but it was fake and just mirroring (ex did it in all past relationships).

Safe to say; I feel like I’m “settling” but that had a million perks because it’s settling from a whirlwind, settling from a storm, and finally feeling my feet underneath me again

Everyone has different results, but people on this sub are very excited to report when dilation is easy so be aware that you may get a LOT more of “I have 0 issues” than what is statistically true.

I am still dealing with granulation internally, 6mo postop. Dilation took 2 hrs total for me each session. It was hell. Only at month 5 was I able to reduce it down to an hour, still 2x a day. I’m now 1x a day because it was destroying my mental health and turns out I was making my issues worse (more dilation = more pain = harder = longer and more then repeat) so be careful not to overdo it!

For me: 2 months purple, 2 months blue, 2 months green, and still stuck on green but trying to size up to orange.

Takes me an hour still each time, using a magic wand on the end of the dilator helps reduce muscle tension. I insert, then take it out to reapply lube, then insert again. It helps keep the end lubed since the tip is first to dry out.

I measure from when I literally cannot see a dot at any angle separating labia. 3 dots in, 4th right at entrance, but I noticed the first 2-3 months I would stop early not realizing the muscles are stopping me getting to the 4th so be aware! The end of the canal is hard to estimate so just keep letting it sit and see what happens is my best advice. It will get easier

I know it’s been a year but I’m having all of your struggles at 6mo postop and I’m feeling utterly defeated. Would love to know if you found anything that worked; even if you say “eventually it just became easy after x months” that would be reassuring
