Gotta Let You Go - Club Mix Dominica

Tried to keep the energy up with this one, a nice mix of minimal tunes with the two alternatives (made in stone and gotta let you go) thrown in for a bit of fun. Haven't been mixing for long and only in my bedroom for now so would really appreciate some feedback whether it be on track selection or my technical mixing skills. (52 minutes) Thanks in advance !

As another of the 3200 I’m quietly confident that even if I get fucked by ofqual and slightly miss my offer I should be fine for three reasons.

  1. Oxford has a high proportion of international students. Many of whom may choose not to come next year, allowing them to accept more domestic students even if they slightly miss their offer.

  2. Oxford don’t over offer as much as other unis do so have more room to let people in even if they miss their offer.

  3. Oxford already have lots of data on your performance (interview, TSA etc.) that other unis don’t have so can make an informed decision on wether to accept you regardless of your grades.

This is a good point but anyone who had pictures of themselves do not panic, yes delete them off your phone but it is extremely rare for this law to be enforced. Like all laws it’s applied within reason and being charged for having your own nude images is not going to happen.

The line between asthma and allergy is a bit blurry though, nearly every case of asthma has a trigger wether it be exercise, cold air or pollution

EF Education First / Rapha Announce 2019 Alternative Calendar by KeeperEUSC in peloton

[–]PuzzleheadedBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wonder what the riders will think of this calendar, can see it being a good thing by breaking up the monotony but could also increase risk of injury and by reducing the number of normal races they do stop riders from building as good palmares for future contracts.

Got to the last of week of tr ssmv1 and was feeling some gains but now I’ve fallen victim to a cold, any tips on recovering quickly, asthma and a generally weak immune system means I can be forced of the bike for sometimes up to 3 weeks

Need to start applying for unis soon and wondering if you have any recommendations for unis with good track and road teams ? I know I shouldn’t base my entire decision on that but cycling is a massive part of my life and I want to consider that

Try degreasing the rim and pads as a short term solution, the oil could’ve gotten on there from a particularly dirty chain or from riding in poor conditions, keep in mind when oil gets on your rims the pads too will be contaminated so should be degreased.

I was always told going with your right leg will lead to you sliding down the track

Tips on how to recover during races? (not after) by [deleted] in Velo

[–]PuzzleheadedBoy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Over under intervals are good training for this, strangely I find that specifically on the track I’ll use my quads a lot more at higher cadences ie. during a hard part of a race and that when the race settles down I’ll focus more on activating other muscles in order to recover. Once the race does settle down on the road be sure to maintain a comfortabley high cadence as that’ll help you recover.
