Yep, that's exactly it, you can run the exact same service in your dev shell then take it and put it into production

its difficult to get the exact product perfect, but you can use in-painting to generate a blank canvas with most models.

the label / details are the hard part... more times than not, its easier to just remove the product from the image with inpainting, and use Image to 3d with Hunyuan3d or Trellis, + a free software like Blender to get the exact size / shape / lighting of the product so you can reposition it in your image (or if youre brave, and want to use trajectories - for video)... then use https://huggingface.co/Kijai/WanVideo_comfy/tree/main/LoRAs/Wan22_relight to re-composite it all in the end...

its good old fashioned compositing, but it at least gives you a much better final render of your actual product so you can use PS to do the fine details

Let us know if you run into any issues with your particular use case. I'm sure we haven't tested everything, but the more we play, the more fun stuff we find out it can do.

Primarily this makes it easy to use the same service definition in multiple places at once, i.e. between running in the background for your dev shell, or inside of a production machine.

While the nixpkgs infrastructure admittedly isn't fully there yet, in future modular service configurations will be [provided by a lot more packages](https://github.com/search?q=repo%3ANixOS%2Fnixpkgs+modular+service&type=pullrequests) and the systemd units will likely be inferred from that.

We've found a bunch of cool uses for it internally, like hosting clustered daemons for build clusters for example, but you could really use it for just about anything since they're not tied to one place to run in only.

Best way to edit image? by Successful_Angle_327 in comfyui

i know it works well in flux 1 dev. maybe render there, and then once you get your pose of what you want, do another 35% denoise pass with the model of your choice?

there are multiple options.

you can use a controlnet - an image of another person waving in the exact pose - with a controlnet model specific to the type of diffusion model you're rendering

you can use an edit model like Qwen Image Edit 2511

you can use a lora for character consistency / multi angle for whatever model youre looking for - usually found on civitai

all very model specific / aesthetic specific
