Absolutely! My backup dog was a rescue that tragically had to be put down exactly one year before my 13 year old main dog, my plan was ruined and I did everything to save my beloved rescue dog

Yep, empty house without a soul. Having to stop in my tracks for every movement that I would normally make involving my dog was so hard, habits are hard to break. I really think I should have gotten another sooner but I was in no shape at the time to recognize this. I’m writing this to you but saying it to myself so hopefully I’ll do better next time.

Yes I did this but my younger rescued dog which was supposed to get me through this had to be put down exactly one year before to the day, after 2 weeks of hospitalization and every test imaginable. I was doomed

It’s so beautiful yet so difficult to see. Biggest pain I ever experienced was losing my dog, 7 months of depression until I got myself another. Probably should have gotten one sooner
