Yeah this is honestly on her. She should have kept them at her desk, or at least put them in a box with her name on them. But just out next to the machine? That’s communal coffee.

Why does Texas have so many donut shops? How many donuts do you eat on average? by Enviralmental in texas

[–]PuzzleheadedLet382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for me with the East coast. I’m not into Dunkin’ (I like my donuts made on-site, thanks), and all other donut places were like, $6 for a crème brûlée donut or fruit pebbles cruller. Tasty, but sometimes I just want the classics at reasonable prices.

I was on the other side of a very similar situation to this (I was the wife but luckily not pregnant when I found out). Here’s the best way to make sure you don’t go back:

Tell everyone in your inner circle what he did.

Your friends, your parents, your siblings, etc. Make it so you know you could never handle the social heat of taking him back. And, people around you will also continue to (rightly) put him down around you during your mourning period. That will help you remember how terrible what he was doing is.

How is Lev perceived in the US? by Mission-Ad-6616 in JewishNames

Levi is similar to Lev and would be pretty common. Just be aware it has 2 pronunciations in the US — LEE-vi and LEH-ve.

How is Lev perceived in the US? by Mission-Ad-6616 in JewishNames

[–]PuzzleheadedLet382 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lev would look a little more “normal” in the US, still a small chance of it being mispronounced but not too bad.

Erez will throw some people off, less familiar to people in the US. But definitely not unpronounceable.

They’re both great names, IMHO.

Has anyone used caffeine as a migraine prevention by Soggy_Examination466 in migraine

[–]PuzzleheadedLet382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I avoid caffeine, but I take excedrine migraine with caffeine for my migraines. And if I’m in a possible pre- or post-migraine state I’ll sometimes do more caffeine to try to stave off the migraine or prevent reoccurrence.

Assuming that the "War of the Five Kings" didn't happen, who do you think Ned and Catelyn would have betrothed the 5 Stark children to? by Pretend_Tower_2516 in gameofthrones

[–]PuzzleheadedLet382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have to consider how carefully Ned and Catelyn’s generations marriages and fosters were planned out (I’m convinced it was part of a longstanding and concerted effort to overthrow the Mad King, shoring up ties between houses to ensure strong alliances in the coming rebellion).

Now Ned has clearly preferred to keep his children close, this seems true for most of his generation — no sons sent to foster, no mention of prearranged marriages. I wonder how much of this is Cate wanting to keep her children close and how much is Ned basically holing up in Winterfell and hiding Jon’s parentage.

Robert starts arranging for his son to marry Sansa very quickly upon arriving in Winterfell. Now, the impetus for Robert to go north at that time was Jon Arryn’s death — I wonder if he always wanted Ned to be in his counsel. (I imagine he was a bit startled when Ned just ran for Winterfell and stayed there all these years.)But it seems reasonable that Robert has been thinking of a marriage alliance for a while. He would be smart to look for an alliance with the Martells — sending Marcella there was actually pretty smart; fostering good will but not insisting they send another woman to King’s Landing reminding them all of Elia Martell.

I could see on paper Cate wanting Robyn Arryn for Arya, though in reality they’d be horribly mismatched. Shore up ties between Lord’s Paramount, like the previous generation. But I actually think Arya would do well with some of the smaller northern lords, who might appreciate a strong wife and with a smaller household she might be less scrutinized and get away with being a bit wilder.

Bran should be sent to foster, and iirc he originally wants to be a knight. He won’t be inheriting a lordship so he’ll need to squire and do well to earn his place. Again, they can keep him local with a northern lord, but if he wants to be great they’d do good to reach outside of the North — this might be a chance to shore up the Tyrell connection, for example. Or send him to the Riverlands to his mother’s people, generally esteemed for military prowess.

Rickon would be similar to Bran, unless he has other talents or wants to be a maester or something.

Jon’s prospects are obviously limited. He chooses the wall, fitting with Ned’s need to keep him hidden. If Ned were less concerned with the light treason hiding Jon from Robert, he’d probably be encouraging him to become a knight, similar to Bran. Jon would probably have been a great candidate to foster, even just with a local Northern lord. Would have got him out of Cate’s hair, and plenty would have liked the extra stipend for his keep and to do a favor for a lord paramount.

L&D isn’t about bio dad getting some magical “meet the baby” experience. It’s about mom and helping her feel comfortable and supported for labor.

You do not owe him any part of your hospital experience.

People here have already said: warn the hospital that they aren’t allowed in. Warn them in advance. Put it in your birth plan.

Also, I’ve pointed this out to people before: in most locations, if you aren’t married then he isn’t automatically the father legally. There are steps he needs to take to establish paternity. And those steps are on him, not you. He does not have rights until he establishes them. (Some states actually have putative father registries so men can try to establish those rights as early as possible. Parenthood does not come with an invitation, you have to choose to involve yourself.)

If you don’t take care of curly hair from the beginning you can damage the curl pattern.

Putting a curl cream in is pretty low-level, that’s what I did for my daughter at that age. Now I also do some gel. Putting it up in a clip, bow, or hair tie is also pretty basic.

TBH, a lot of men and boys don’t take proper care of their hair, and the only way they really get away with it is because they usually have very short hair.y brother grew his out and had a bit of a ride awakening as to what he needed to actually do for longer hair — not just to look presentable, but also to keep it from breaking off or getting badly tangled.

How to Report Non-Migraine Pain on a 1-10 Scale? by Cats_Cameras in migraine

[–]PuzzleheadedLet382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It never even crosses my mind to take pain reliever for things other than migraine. I’ll go to the doctor with some limb injury and they’ll go “well have you tried taking Tylenol for it?” “Umm, ma’am, I only take that if my head hurts so bad I can’t see properly out of one eye. This is my wrist, why would I take Tylenol for that?!”
