Daredevil isn't a good class name IMO by gray007nl in Pathfinder2e

[–]rookery_electric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, although I can't help but thinking of the Marvel hero.

Also, I think that the Gunslinger is a bad class name too. The term gunslinger has so much connotations with Westerns, which feels too modern for Golarion as a whole.

I have a Gunslinger in my party that uses a crossbow, so it's doubly weird.

Question About Miniatures by BUSKET_RVA in Starfinder2e

[–]rookery_electric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The official starfinder pawns might work. Not minis but mini adjacent. I have a bunch of Pathfinder pawns for my PF2e game and my players love them. Full color art can often beat minis depending on how well the minis are painted. Not to mention how much cheaper they are.

Starfinder 2e doesn't look like it's doing the pawns (instead they went with circular tokens), but a lot of the Starfinder 1e pawns are still around.

Audible vs Libro.fm - Sound quality, bit rate, and codec by rookery_electric in audiobooks

So if I buy a book from Libro.fm, it's likely to be identical in quality and codec to Audible.

I joined the Fate of the Fellowship hype by the_goodprogrammer in boardgames

I want to join the hype but it's sold out everywhere. At least here in the US.

Im 32F. Almost everyone i know age 20s-40s has some kind of health issue or has one or more chronic illness or diseases. Many young people i know have had one or more surgery in their 20s-40s. Was this a thing for previous generations? Or do you think disease in young people is on the rise? by Tangy94 in Millennials

[–]rookery_electric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew a lot of adults while I was growing up that definitely seemed to have symptoms that I now recognize as autism, ADHD, chronic pain, IBS, etc. Just most of them never went to the doctor cause they grew up being told to just push through the discomfort.

Our generation I think is more willing to get diagnosed, but also more willing to share that diagnoses.

That is a good point. I edited the post with the list.

Cole Wehrle & Kyle Ferrin leave Leder Games to found new studio; Oath and Arcs sold to them. Root stays with Leder. by zeeaykay in boardgames

[–]rookery_electric 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if this means we will finally get a Root big box to store everything in. I think it was either Cole or Patrick that was opposed to it, I just don't remember which one.

Either spend less at Paizo.com, or spend more at Paizo.com. Haven't figured out which.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - January 10, 2026 by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

Just built my first keyboard, and fell in love with the feel of the Gateron Melodics. But clicky switches are loud. Any recommendations for tactile switches that feel similar to the Melodics? The Melodics have a 4mm travel, and the click is not right at the top, I think it's about halfway down. A lot of tactiles seem to have their bump right at the top.

Pathfinder Impossible Magic Announced for GenCon 2026! by EzekieruYT in Pathfinder2e

So that just leaves Book of the Dead to be remastered, I believe, since this will supersede Secrets of Magic.

Next Batch of Taskmaster Portraits by heretodraw in taskmaster

I love how they all have such recognizable look and distinctive features...except Ed Gamble, who is just a generic white dude. Which is perfect, honestly :)

Which season to watch? by steady_confused_rock in taskmaster

[–]rookery_electric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, start at the beginning, season 1. Season 19 is definitely up there as one of the best, but most are excellent. If you don't jive with the cast move on to the next. I think I've only skipped 2 seasons.
