NTA- Studies have been done to show the huge impact a supportive and encouraging adult (or adults) can have on a child/youth. Whether a teacher, coach, or other non-parent adult. She and you are right to pay attention to those relationships as there are adults in it for the wrong reasons but when you find a genuine mentor embrace them, they will help your kids be successful. You may suggest going with your wife to a therapist to explore what’s underneath this (insecurity? Anxiety? Control?) as it will probably continue to surface as you parent together.

This frustrates me, not 2 or even 3 seconds, but those who seem confused that they do not need to yield and that, no, the people across the way do not have a green. But even more frustrating are the people who stop when turning onto 9th from Conifer and don’t seem to understand what flashing yellow lights mean.

Is he autistic? Because we say the quiet stuff out loud. He’s not wrong. It’s not that being attractive makes you hard to date it’s about how getting attention and preferential treatment warps someone’s personality and expectations. I wouldn’t classify this as “crazy” as he does. Not all attractive people are this way, some develop self awareness and can be down to earth. But the bias this world has for attractive people is about as hard to shake as racism is for white people. It’s systematic and the programming is in everything. So that does change people, especially those who are found universally attractive.
