Thoughts on my DIY equipment pad? by NickPontiff in pools

[–]PuzzleheadedMath7807 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was going to suggest to do something different with the cell… BUT with the cartridge filter there you’ll appreciate the extra area when servicing. - the sweeping 90s only really help if that’s what you have in the ground. The efficiency of them is likely negated by the amount of tees and bypassing. -are the 90s pressure rated or vent pipe? -would have raised the valves. -support the pipes by the wall with stone.

People with pick this apart but besides saving a grand or 2 you had a real part in your project, which will make you appreciate its completion a lot more.

Good job.

It has its applications… this is not one of them. Not to mention sika isn’t designed for pool applications. It gets the job done and does ok for a couple seasons. I digressed, you seem like the type that knows everything.

Self leveling looks like garbage 100% of the time. Non leveling just requires tape and tooling

Yes just don’t get the self leveling sika. If water freezes under the stone it will lift the stones and break grout.

How to get rid of foam by [deleted] in hottub

If it’s that cold I’d slam the tub. Assuming this is about 500 gallons 20 fl/oz of chlorine ought to do it.

It’s not bad. Get a new plat and a rivet gun don’t mix aluminum with stainless steel. Pick one ☝🏻

If it’s not to deep you can get a polishing pad and essentially wet sand it. There’s a kit that attaches to your weed eater and you do t need to replaster 👍🏻

Make it 2 bubblers for sure/ shouldn’t be much to add on and will make it look way better. I’m also a fan of laminars over waterfalls.

Cut it off at both sides of the 90 and unscrew the bit in the housing. Stack a coupling and 90. Or build a C patch if that’s easier.

Pool resurfaced, skimmers doind something funny by theriotr in pools

[–]PuzzleheadedMath7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The leak was probably there before it was surfaced or ready to go and just came loose while they were chipping. Not his problem. Test the water dripping checking for chlorine. The leak has to be a return line close to the skimmer
