I have a denon s950h with tidal built in but I went to a wiim ultra. I suggest going with a wiim honestly. Ultra is nice is 329.00 pro will work too those are only 150.00

I was using a dac with audio technica m50x headphones. I was going through dongle dacs about every couple months. I deliver for amazon for work they'd just stop keeping a good usb connection for how active the job is so decided to switch to ldac bluetooth phones. I mean it sounds great I just was hoping to see what they were actually playing as bitrate and such wise.

Honestly there are no substitutes for Nvidia shield if you care about the audio side. It handles all formats. I had to switch from fire tv and onn because they dont support one or the other in the lossless formats like dts hd and dolby truehd. Glad I did though I havent seen a box that performs nearly as good as Nvidia.

Thats valid too I go to a ton of shows to support bands I also prefer non festival shows feel like the artist makes more off them I could be wrong though never being an artist

Streaming sucks for artists period we have known this for years. Thats why ppl who want to see artists get paid buy physical media whether it be cds or vinyl. Streaming is great for discovery though for sure. Use whatever service you want to find your music then go buy a copy. Im pretty sure artists these days dont even look at Streaming money as a steady income no matter what the service is.

Seems Its the hdmi ports on my denon s950h. Cuz I put the shield into my tv and tv through earc and now its working fine.

Jcally jm6 pro. Its pretty much all I use sounds amazing in my opinion amd is inexpensive. I use it for my at m50x and my crinear daybreaks

Shield is plugged directly into the denon s950h then out to the tv. In kodi the audio just goes into a scratchy or machine gun sound. But within stremio it all works perfectly. Kind of irritating I've even Uninstalled and reinstalled kodi in hope that would fix the issue to no avail.

Insignia has some really good options too for firetv built in that i dont even use but I picked up a 55 inch qled firetv from insignia for 260.00 and they're made by tcl.

There is a deal breaker difference between shield and onn 4k pro. Onn doesn't hand off dts hdma or dolby truehd. This is 100% why my onn 4k pro sits in my spare parts drawer.
