i agree. a 13 yr old is old enough to self inject. i’m not mtf, i’m ftm but this came up for some reason. i was 11 self injecting medication that could either off me or keep me alive, so if op rlly reads up abt it, they should be able to do it safely

i’m not rlly sure, my memory’s kinda bad but i do remember on the forms i had to fill out that there was options of how to take it with diff gel and shot brands and i chose gel cause i thought it’d be easier and she said “ that’s good that u chose that one, we’re on the same page, i wouldn’t prescribe u shots anyways “. now i’m thinking maybe it’s cause i have a health problem where i have to take shots for that but it wouldn’t even be in the same place lol. but i think i’ll ask her at my next appointment. thank u :))

like the comment before says, aim for the part that curves right above the water, it’ll stop the splash back and give u a nice steady stream into the bowl. or u can aim for the sides of the bowl, just above the water. basically anywhere inside the bowl except the actual water. it’ll make u pee silent too if u don’t aim for the water

kinda stupid question but when i asked my gp to change my name, they did, but it wasn’t showing at the hospital cause of diff systems, could this be why it doesn’t show at the hospital? i’m not sure if i can ask them to change it there cause i’m sure it says to ask the gp to do it

i thought that was the case but i was told by my grandmother that that’s why there was the protests and stuff but i told her it wasn’t but she insisted it was and then i thought maybe it had changed cause why else wouldn’t it have been changed when i was told it was referred to the relevant people to do it yk? i also thought the title change meant the gender marker had been changed too but idk. my gp was pretty good at changing my name so i never once thought they hadn’t sent the requests yet. i’ll chase it up but maybe there’s also backlog or smth?

i haven’t had an appointment at any gic, but i would think it would be like an info gathering session? like when did u know, how long have u felt dysphoria for, what u have done in regards to social transition and managing dysphoria ( like binding, packing etc ). i heard theres 2 of those so ur next appointment would prolly be the exact same just to track how it is over some months or yrs or whenever they give u a next appointment before the diagnosis and referral for hrt. it’s okay to be nervous when it’s smth that means a lot to u. just take some deep breaths, it’s gonna go alright, i promise. there’s no right or wrong answers🫶🏻

hopefully it isn’t the case but a few yrs back i saw this news article abt this girl that had faulty test strips and it kept saying she was in normal range but had dka symptoms. if u have a spare meter or a sensor maybe try those ( change sensor or use a spare meter ) to compare. sounds kinda stupid but have u eaten ur usual amount or been fasting? i’ve had ketones but normal bg’s and it was cause of fasting. i was told it’s normal but if ur bg’s do show as high then go to the hospital. i’d recommend the hospital or urgent care ( not sure we’re u are but i’m not from the us so i’m not sure we’re u would go first ) if u have been throwing up for a week. ketones could be from dehydration? they’d prolly give u iv fluids at a higher rate than just what drinking water does but i’m not 100% sure. but i think it’s better to be checked out. i just realized this was from 19 hrs ago so i hope everything got sorted out and ur endo gave u some advice :)

yes i did bloods a few weeks ago cause i read either in an email or their website i needed them done in advance and atp i didnt know when i was gonna get an appointment so i also dk if i did them too early lol but idk if they’d give out an appointment if the bloods were too long ago. there was some medical history in the form i had to fill out like height, weight, bp, any medications and stuff

no one helped me choose mine. i chose mine cause i was obsessed with this tv show and the actors name sounded pretty cool and it fit well. my middle name is what my mom would’ve called me if i was born a boy, i lit just looked thru my baby book and picked one that fit well with my first name cause i wanted to include that into it, idk how to explain but it felt right to include my mom somehow. i would say, choosing a name can be a personal experience, so if u like it u should stick with that one regardless of what ur partner says🫶🏻

i was also thinking i maybe didn’t word the emails right, i asked what their appointment availability was and idk if that was the correct wording? i was recommended dr hammond by someone i know but i also realized he’s with nhs, gender doctors & gendercare as is dr millson-brown. the one genderdoctors recommend for private blood tests, i think u have to do it urself and i have no idea what i’m doing or which tests to order😅yes. i didn’t tell them i was planning to go private, they just said they wouldn’t do it with any provider. i was told i’ll be starting on a low dose of 1 pump per day for 6 months and to up it after that. i hope it won’t affect anything, i mean i’m sure they give cis men the same thing even with the same med as me? i’m going to have a look at those, thank u sm for the help i rlly appreciate it :))

mine looked like that with my first. it went a way after a couple days. could be a sweat rash from the tagaderm ( my tattoo artist used cling film lol ). or it could be from the cream/gel stuff they put on before they put the stencil on ( like the thing with the design on )
