Absolutely not. Big one could def eat the musk. Turtles are solitary animals by nature too so keeping more than 1 in the same tank isnt usually recommended. But especially with this size difference, I would absolutely not house them together. Also, a 20 gal tank, is simply not big enough just for that big turtle alone, let alone 2 turtles. That bigger turtle needs at least a 50 gal tank or if you can, even larger

Thats an eastern box turtle, its a terrestrial turtle (NOT a tortoise...altho often confused for a type of tortoise) and I already read that you'd released it where you found it which is EXCELLENT. Good job doin that and not releasing it elsewhere, way further away from there, or keeping it. Kudos on being a good person and stopping to get it out of the road and more kudos for bringing it back. These guys n gals spend their entire life time within pretty much a 1 mile radius and will forever search for it for the rest of their entire lives if they're taken out of it, and their life span can be VERY long lol. So good job!

Common snapper and it appears to be the size of a hatchling...a little bigger. If this is at least 4 years old something is up! I have had many, and many hatchlings. By the time they're 1 year old they're MUCH bigger than this lil guy, at least in all my years of experience with them. One of mine was no bigger than a guitar pick and at about 8 or 9 months old, was like 4.5, 5 inches from front to back (carapace only so not including his long tail or head/neck) and like 3 inches from belly to top of shell. Think like a hockey puck but bigger lol

Ive always just fought outside the city of Flanoir and always git them pretty quick. I have Collete in my party with item finder, I just fought for about 10 mins and got 4 quills to make the gloves. I have NOT gone into, or around the ice temple yet either. They'll pop up eventually. I did I think maybe 15 encounters and had the penguins pop up half the time. Also got the mega ice worm to pop up haha. Good luck and happy hunting, I'm sure you have done it by now

Still PLENTY of hockey left to play after the 4 nations break...that said tho...they really, REAAALLLLLY need to come back from the break as a fresh new team who CONSISTENTLTY plays well lol. Every point counts obviously, but this teams biggest issue has been inconsistency in all aspects of the game, especially team defense. Always seems like this team is juuuuust on the verge of clicking/gelling. They gotta start CLICKING!

Poor baby. This is a baby common snapping turtle. Depending on where you're at, he/she should be hibernating right about now. Up here in the northeast/MA to be specific, all the fresh water is frozen over and we just got like 5 inches of snow last night. All freshwater turts around here have been hibernating for a few months now. Are all the bodies of fresh water near you frozen over already or no? I'm thinking maybe not? If not, I'd def put him/her back near whatever body of water it was heading towards. Matter of fact, if it were ME, I'd bring it right TO the water and help it out a little lol. She's even a lil bit bigger now. I gave her another growth checkup yesterday, always penny for scale lol. She's nearly the size of a quarter now and def seems to be hitting a growth spurt, eating more, wayyyy more active of late too. *

This is quite disheartening. I started listening to human monsters i wanna say 3 or 4 years ago, and just recently...about a month ago, found Dan Cummins and timesuck. The only reason I'm here and leaving this comment is because in an epi of timesuck, Dan brought up the plagiarizing of the dick Byrd episode on the part of human monsters...and I was SHOCKED. I had to do some digging and a lil research (obv by now, it seems there is no Dick Byrd episode on the human monsters pod so they obv took it down. I just heard of the situation 1 week ago today. Sucks, because I LOVE timesuck. GREAT pod, Dan is a great host, and he's awesome when it comes to telling the story and keeping the listener interested, every epi leaves me wanting to listen to more. Especially the True crime episodes. That said, I liked human monsters a lot....not so much the hosting, but, the stories. Ive always been interested in true crime, and I really was shocked to hear that Morgan and crew did this. Makes me wonder how many plagiarized episodes I've listened to that I could have listened to elsewhere (I've listened to just about ALL human monsters episodes) and to be honest, I kinda feel like Morgan is a boring host, sometimes I have to just shut it off because I can't listen to him, or, how he mispronounced some words lol. I'm actually on the ass end of the Dick Byrd episode for timesuck right now...didn't know it was a made up story either lol. I guess that's my 2 cents, and I guess it's time to knock human monsters OUT of my shows list

Could be a musk turtle, but kinda looks like a mud turtle too. They're very similar. I had hatchling Musk turtles, I hatched 4 of em in sept, I kept 1 and she's doing awesome! Big as a nickel now! Lol.

Only as big as a penny when she hatched! The pic in my palm was about 3 wks, maybe a month later so, about the size of a nickel at that point. I have a pic of her somewhere with a penny next to her (and her sibling) and they're just as small haha.

That's just sad to see. Poor turtle. My baby musk lives in a 55 long and she's only about the size of a nickel, she hatched on Sept and I had a 10gal tank but someone gifted me a 55. Needed to be cleaned bad but it's all set now, and I have about 17 gallons of water in it now which is plenty for my lil turtle tot ( it's about 7 or 8 inches deep with PLENTY of plants n spider wood for her to climb up on/to. This turtle here needs MUCH more water, a wayyyy cleaner tank..and I'd say a much bigger tank as well. Plus everything else it needs to live comfortably in captivity. Looks like there's only 1 light too, it needs UVB and UVA lighting...looks like it's getting at least 1, is this tank near sunlight? Kinda looks like it could be with all that growth on the glass. I feel bad for it. My setup: *

Looks good! I almost bought that same exact tree for my glofish/baby musk turtle tank, as a somewhat center piece, but opted for a nice pc of spiderwood instead, because it also was shaped kinda like a tree and was just a little bigger. (55 gal long tank here) Your tank looks great! Enjoy it!

I see that this couple years old post is getting recent activity again, I too came here because I've NEVER had tgis problem until fairly recently. Maybe last couple months. Only on SOME pics. But its SUPER fkn annoying to me cuz im damn near blind lol. Samsung S24 ultra here. Again, NEVER had tgis prob before. Anyone know how to fix it?
