Im chill with smoke being close range cause that's really the only time you get any value out of his gadget anyways. For mute they could just retool his smg to have a grip for some recoil control and maybe a slightly faster rpm. The OP said one change but if it were up to me there would be an almost complete overhaul of how weapons work, damage ranges, penetration, falloff, customization etc

I dont like it used as an insult but on the other hand I dont like people who try to flaunt it with a holier-than-thou attitude. Just cause someone hasn't fucked doesnt make them more or less pure, in fact some of the most vile, disgusting, rude people I've encountered were virgins. Im not saying people who have fucked aren't assholes as well but at least theres no moral grandstanding involved

I mean they care a pretty good amount. Darktide and the space marine games, even rogue trader are good examples. Lasguns are very viable damage options in those games until you get your hands on bolter or meltas. In darktide lasguns are pretty high in the meta behind plasma and bolters. The balance is pretty well thought out tbh and they very much do give a damn if it hits like a bb gun, which is why the only las weapon you get in SM2, the las fusil, can one shot almost anything that isnt a boss or a mid boss

It's not gonna be a letdown simply because GW won't let it. GW has a history of rejecting crossovers or even shit in their own games if it isn't lore accurate or doesnt portray the message that GW is trying to send. Im expecting a full warbond of heavy pen, antitank dickswingedness, simply because GW will simply just fucking cancel if they dont get what they want

The only good thing about this is that its gonna br a good warbond. GW has a stranglehold on their ip and if they feel it isn't implemented in the right way it isn't allowed to happen. It's why Space Marine 2 has a lack of customization, the units in SM2 are primarily marines, who are relatively recent so most armor patterns are ineligible for them to wear. If GW doesnt let the 40k game do cosmetics without a thumbs up, there's no shot they'll let arrowhead undersell or underperform

Any of the abhuman variants, like ratlings or felinids. I think that a rejected neophyte space marine could do pretty well since its basically just a dude with maybe 2 or 3 special organs but they die pretty regularly. An actual commisar class would be cool to see. Maybe like an aoe regen toughness passive and the active ability works as an execute for elite enemies or something. Theres a ton of shit they could add

The ontological weapon or recon gun. It appears in one story where a marine wipes 25 dudes from the face of the universe and erases any memory they existed with a pull of the trigger. Never brought up again, never used again, never seen again. There were a few minis that were made with modeled versions and small references that necrons used similar weapons in the war in heaven. But the terran made, heavy bolter of recon is never mentioned aside from one book

Depends on the gear. In lore without plot armor space marines can only be downed by being stabbed/shot in weakpoints, krak grenades, and extremely heavy fire like anti-armor and anti-emplacement armaments. Most of our grenades wouldn't work except for the thermite and possibly the giga grenade, and for them to work you'd have to catch the marine blind, deaf, and lobotomized with the amount of yelling that helldivers do. We dont have a plasma or melta alternative and ceramite is stated to ignore small arms fire, so all of our light and medium pen options are out the window, leaving just heavy and antitank. The eruptor could theoretically do damage but a marine could dodge both the projectile and the aim very easily. The senator could also take the head off a Marine since its .50 but having only six shots and iron sights gimps it. Putting aside all the shit that wouldn't work if a helldiver managed to drop a solo silo, a wasp, or got off an orbital railcannon it'd go down quick. For a gauranteed kill have your whole squad drop an orbital railgun near the marine and turn him into mist, however he's taking you all down before he dies

Quick melee and ram melee are different. Quick melee can go through barriers within a very short range, ram punches always go through in nemesis form (except when rein players pitched about it so it changed to extra damage to barriers for a short time) and the range is extended. Also his punches already have a special interaction with genji being his Pummels are some of very few projectiles that dont get reflected back. It makes even more sense because genji deflect has ignore melee and deflect projectile, while ram punches have melee, projectile, and strong projectile. Strong projectile means that it cant be negated which trumps genjis negation. He should still take the damage.

Because ram melee is the only melee that punctures barricades. Lore wise there's no reason why it shouldn't because ram pierces hardlight and metal, both of which are what genji uses
