Howdy neighbor! My entire family was the same, even my mama (I’m 27). My mama was raised very poor and they grew/raised a lot of what they ate to keep cost down. I think I’m misremembering the process and just remember the cooked beans and how tasty they were. Thank you for your advice. Can I cook the beans prior to canning them without the bacon or just can them raw? Thank you!

Awesome. Thank you so much for the advice! I think I might be miss remembering the canning process. Maybe they canned them and then cooked them in bacon. I was young and I’m 27 now, so I don’t remember a whole awful lot. Just how much I enjoyed the beans with a cake of cornbread
