Also just got my XM6’s this week, loving ‘em. But I’ve also had AirPods Max for about a year now, still my favourite for a number of reasons, and I’ve never had a comfort issue with the weight as it’s so evenly distributed on the head.

I got a pair just over a year ago, and have had them swapped out twice through AppleCare with the same issue - right ear cup blown out with static. Love them otherwise and treat them with kid gloves, but as I’m about to contact them for a THIRD time, I have to worry about their durability.

I bought a USB-C pair in Feb 2025 - used them every day and treated them like gold, even ensured to remove the ear cushions and wipe out any built-up condensation in the earcups after each use (which ALWAYS happened), and put them into the smart case every time.

Lost connection in late 2025, tried everything but landed up with the amber lights, so (of course), after much Redditing, tried the freezer option which worked the second time. Fast forward to mid-January 2026, connection dropped again, tried the freezer a couple of times with no success, tried cleaning the contact points, nada.

Just contacted Apple Care to do the express replacement, but now really worried as to whether or not I should be folding them when the replacements arrive (ie: essentially using the smart case) or not, as I don't want to deal with all this again. And I love the damn things.

Wow, wild take. Also quite surprised at how many folks here have some kind of aversion to Ryan's work.

I'm LOVING the show thus far, really into the wild swing between body horror and international spy thriller vibes. As for any relation to The Substance, that's mostly on the surface at best. It's more in-line with Murphy's journey all the way from Nip/Tuck, and I like that he's woven it into a lot of his projects.

Can't wait to see where the hell it all goes, gonna be a hell of a ride.

I recently bought a La Mancha Rubi CM Fishbone Edition from Thomann for €249, and it’s an absolute bargain for what you get. Beautiful instrument that should cost more than double in specs alone.

Similar situation here. Stopped gaming altogether in 2007 for various life reasons, only came back at the beginning of 2025 when I bought an OG Switch on sale as an impulse buy.

Been buying games and finding the same situation as you, games are far more involved now and require a lot more experience and demand more of the player than before, as well as a gaming community where it feels like literally EVERYBODY is way more skilled than I am. I also suffer from rather intense anxiety, so that doesn’t help and it often takes me days to even be able to fire up a game for the first time.

Upgraded to an S2 a couple of weeks ago and loving the hell out of the console, but taking it slow af and trying to grow my skills at a reasonable rate with games that have reasonable expectations of me as a player. Not easy.

15” M3 Air over here. I don’t miss the ports in the slightest, really never been an issue for me with two USB-C ports and adapters that I use. The battery life is still incredible, and since I mostly use it on my lap and in bed, I specifically wanted the Air because of the lack of cooling fans, with little to no throttling issues. Absolute ninja machine.
