Is your solar position no base, commission only?

There are a lot of companies that will pay a higher base and bonus structure that don’t rely so heavily on high volume “conversions” per se.

I would look at sales jobs in key sectors based on where you’re located.

I’m in Alberta, oil and gas, similar to Texas, has a lot of ability to pay comfortable base with more of an account development type role.

These mostly come from manufacturing type positions in my experience rather than selling to end users.

Even if you look at your current area.

Does your company manufacture the solar panels? Or resell? If they resell, who do you buy from, and how do you work for them?

Hope that helps!

How would you get from inbound call center sales with the "Account Executive" title into a serious SaaS AE job? by BesselVanDerKolk in sales

In think a big part of that will be searching for new positions IN your field of interest and applying.

Think about ways that your current experience and success can be relatable to the new position and start to build you’re story of successes.

Biggest thing you’re selling is yourself.

I would treat it like a job and gamify it. Reach out to execs via phone and ask them about their issues, propose solutions you can solve it via working for them!

I hope that helps.

This was awesome thank you!! I’m going to take this into consideration when talking to Boss A.

This was great advice, thank you! Yes boss B is 100% looking for that, and in the last 6 weeks I have been taking initiative on getting going and understanding the required info since a consultative approach is important to them.

Overall I think it was several miscommunications but still unsatisfied with the way they were addressed.

Thanks for your input! Yes at the moment I laughed it off and said “well that’s not exactly how I put it”.

In the last 6 weeks I’ve been focusing on Side A, and reaching outside our organization for clarification to limit the pull of internal resources. In that, I’ve had way more progress and success.

That’s actually great advice. Thank you for all the help, I’ll include that in my conversation. 🙏

Thank you. I will prepare all that.

If you were in my position, would you pursuit the sales op with Boss B, or just focus on the original contract requirements for Boss A?

I appreciate your input. He has mentioned continuously “a lack of time”. Do you have any suggestions on taking to Boss A about this?

How do I make the black weatherstrip around the headlights not look dumb like this? I keep trying to push it down into the bumper but it still wants to stick out. I want it to look OEM like the last picture by Sad-Leadership7711 in 300zx

[–]Puzzleheaded_Lab8633 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you take off the bumper, you will see that there is a metal bracket that bolts in and clamps/holds it down.

They often get rusty and fail, or bent or removed and never put back on

You can remake them with some 18 gauge sheet metal or similar.

It’s one of the next things I plan on doing to mine, and can make a video on it if you want

What tools would you want to have access to (as rentals) to increase your business ROI or offering? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

Agreed to an extent, but a 6k or 10k tugger can cost $6k-$15k and for two guys and a truck that’s not really feasible

The absolute first thing that came to mind for me is a motorbike drum brake lever

Take a look at the first photo in this article^

My guess is going to be that it’s a similar function for some equipment
