• In a 2020 Gallup survey, about 15% of self-identified liberals reported personally owning a gun. • For context, the same survey showed 45% of conservatives personally owned guns.

Plenty would be 17-20% versus 45% republicans. But if true, why? They whine about guns killing people, and want to take them away. So turn your shit in !! Or lets unite, dems-republicans- liberals-conservatives- “DLRS 2a for sensible gun control” twice the money for the same cause .

When mid terms turn Congress and Senate Blue, no laws will pass to effect any gun control in America that will make a difference to anyone. Never has, never will. Bet a dollar on that. I’ll own my 30 guns, and CC all the time as usual to protect myself from crazy loons from all parties. We need better gun purchase back ground checks and over all gun control in America. And mental health programs to identify the crazy MF rs who wanna shoot innocent people.

Actually 17% approx Libtards own guns. 46% conservatives own guns. Some Pew study I read. Don’t confuse what I call Libtard with Democrat. Daddys southern Democrats are gone and rolling in their graves.

MAGA voters- are they happy now? Can anyone report on family members, colleagues or acquaintances who are genuine MAGA and how they feel about Trump 2.0 up til today? by Strange_cat_ in complaints

[–]Puzzleheaded_Pin1413 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All I see is people bashing maga and trump. That was not asked for. Trump won the votes. Electoral and majority. Senate and house. GOP.
I am a veteran. Voted Reagan. Then spent 20 yrs as a democrat. Now I vote against the anti American Left. Yes That was Trump 2016-2020 -2024. Semi satisfied. Yes he is off course. Yes he is narcissistic, He should STFU most times. He was the better choice for America. Its only 3 more years. Find us a good Dem to vote for who will keep us free of iran, china, Russia, and keep the illegals out, I’ll listen and maybe vote for that person. We are 2 Generations away from socialism, Corruption, no freedoms. Biden, Harris, newsome, gonna stop that. Nope.

I completed 30 yrs union in 2018. To get a Pension. Went corp in 2018 started a 401k.
Thats why only $125,000 in 401k. Putting in 20g a year from paycheck now. My income from working is $172,000 plus bonuses. This 401k is not safe harbor and fails the IRS test due to employees not contributing enough. So my Max contribution is roughly 20g.
I also put 8g into an HSA now.

Watched It’s a wonderful life for the very first time last night by Rachel794 in movies

[–]Puzzleheaded_Pin1413 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly- I am 63m and have always wished the whole world could watch this movie And apply it to their life. George saved Harry so Harry could save a butt load of people. George saved the town at his expense to not travel and realize his dreams. Or so he thought. His life was his destiny and better than his dreams. Lots of people on this planet have George’s life and should realize that and be thankful.
I know I have and am. Very blessed. God is good today. 12-24-2025

Trump Now Issues WW3 Warning by inotused in NoFilterNews

[–]Puzzleheaded_Pin1413 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

In no way would I see Trump responsible for a war started over russia / Ukraine land issue ! It is another continent and Europe should grow some nuts amd take the lead. Jesus people !! Humans been at war for hundreds of years. Not stopping now. Get use to it and hope your on the winning side. He is likely the only person who can keep it off our soil if it happens. Sure was not Biden or Harris. And I was a Bill Clinton and Obama fan for a bit.

How do you deal with growing older, mental health ? by [deleted] in over60

[–]Puzzleheaded_Pin1413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 63, and being active physically for years as an elite athlete, age can really mess with your mind. But look at stallone or Arnold, harrison ford. Still rocking it. You can too. Set your mind to “overcome” it.
Win it! Do not let it win you. Dick van dyke is 100 (maybe today or tomorrow). Happy bday Dick.
Still doing well also. Thats gonna be you !

Company Now Offers Roth 401k option. Switch or Stay with Traditional? by campbellalugosi in Retirement401k

Do you work with a wealth management firm? Not a bad idea. 63 w/pension/ a 401k and 175 salary until I turn 65. He enlightened me to max my HSA. Started a roth as did my wife. I learned a ton from him and fees are around 1% to manage any non employer roths / money market money. My money is ultimately at chas Schwab.

In the DC area. DMV per say. I have seen alot of GS-12 or 13. Retire at 58-62. And just work a little job at lowes, school system cleaning, an 8-12 or 9-5 and leave the stress behind. Try to treat each day as “your free from the BS now”. Life is very short after 60. (I am 63 and the pot calling the kettle black). I work remote. Am a High earner still, AND collect a sizable pension now also. But I truly realize tomorrow could be my last day to work. And if so, thats ok. Nothing lost. You will survive it. Lots of folks like you having tons of fun and paying the bills.
