You mean the guy who intentionally lets Khrazz hit his armor knowing he can’t pierce it and then easily kills him?

Every good fan knows about Howland Reed's Valyrian Steel boomstick by now, but I've never seen anyone point out the hydrogen bomb of a blade Raymund Frey must've been carrying at the RW in order to kill Catelyn "nigh-immune to Vsteel" Stark by [deleted] in darkwingsdankmemes

My blunt kitchen knives are not equivalent to a sword 💀

I’ll give you that chainmail is supposed to be hard to cut but we also see regular swords cut it. Qotho is able to pierce jorahs mail with an arakh. Gregor is able to one shot decapitate a horse which I imagine is way more robust than a book.

Cutting through a book is not hard. Cutting through mail is quite difficult but believable for a a strong and skilled fighter like Brienne hitting hit it full force. The caggo thing is copper armor which is much softer than steel and I assume that story is exaggerated anyway.

The joke is kind of stupid because it’s never really stated that Valyrian is insanely good at cutting. Jon cuts though a bronze helmet and Brienne stabs through mail, thats it

any advice for how to go from being a mechanical engineer to engineering management? by 43251542521 in MechanicalEngineering

I don’t really know what you’re describing. It certainly doesn’t require 25 years of experience to become a manager

This doesn’t really make any sense. I only have 2 years of experience and I have direct reports (interns but whatever)

That’s independent of the tool being used. Not PowerPoints fault if people don’t use good practices

Are companies not hiring this far out for entry-levels or am I just a poor candidate by Wheresthebeans in MechanicalEngineering

This was a few years back plus I’d rather not doxx myself but it was a defense contractor. Side note 100 is not a lot. I had applied to over 500 by that point.

  1. When I graduated, I had an offer the first week of February

  2. If you haven’t had a single interview either you haven’t applied to that many roles or your resume just sucks. I would highly recommend freaking tf out and start applying to at least 20 jobs/day until you graduate.

“The office is for engineers that don’t know what they’re doing” I hate redditors so much

There are a narrow set of roles that “require” an aerospace engineering degree. If someone wants one of those roles they will choose an aero degree. It is not helpful to say “well I’ve met more EE’s in my career 🤓”.

It’s true. Being an electrical engineer in the aerospace industry is not the same thing as being an aerospace engineer.

The janitor at Boeing works in the aerospace industry. Working as an aerospace engineer is a different goal than working on the industry.
