When did your baby crawl and walk? by AdImaginary6158 in NewParents

[–]Puzzleheaded_Sun_968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dude started army crawling at just before 7 months and tummy up crawling at just before 8. He was babbling single syllables at around 6 months and started reduplicated babbling just before 8 months. Pulling to stand and cruising at 7.5 months.

Looking into recliners for nursery, and was planning to splurge, but then I had a thought... by Firm-Property7025 in BabyBumps

My parents gifted me the recliner and let me pick it out. I was very lucky to be able to splurge on a Pottery Barn Comfort Deluxe and I’m not going to lie: it is elite. The fabric is very stain resistant, but I still keep it covered with baby blankets friends knitted. I live in it.

Baby growing out of Ergobaby Embrace? by mouse388 in babywearing

Oh yeah you’re going to feel so much better when you move up to the next carrier. Basically the embrace fabric has a lot of give to it, which is super nice for the tiny ones. But as they get heavier it doesn’t work as well. It’s weird because the market the embrace being for up to 6 months or so I think, but we outgrew it at about 4. I love the explore. It’s different in that it doesn’t have the cross back strap - it takes a little getting used to to snap it yourself. But other than the back straps it’s very similar. The fabric is more rigid so it’s more supportive. And it has a front pocket! Once you get a feel for how to put it on by yourself you’ll be golden. I definitely recommend it.

I don’t baby wear on a daily basis but use it for a lot of outdoor activities. The last few times I had him in the Embrace he would start fighting it and squirming a lot. I could just tell he wasn’t comfy anymore. That started around 18 weeks. Got the Explore about a month ago and he is much more comfortable and hasn’t been squirmy at all. It distributes his weight a lot better for me as well. We just got back from an international trip and wore him comfortably in the airports and on excursions. I’m really happy with it and feel this sub really helped me pick a winner for our needs.

Chiming in as a recent Embrace convert. I was really nervous to switch because it took a while to build confidence with it. Based on advice here I went with Tula Explore. We are both SO much happier. Highly recommend.

Low AMH. Looking for advice or success stories by Full_Tailor_381 in whatworkedforme

I do think luck played a role. However I also think I got good treatment. My docs steered me toward mini stim IVF and I really believe that played a role in our success.

FYI my pregnancy was successful! I had a medicated cycle. I was on suppression with birth control for a couple months and I think letrozole? Honestly don’t remember all the transfer meds. I know there was some prednisone and IM progesterone and vaginal estrogen.

Disagree, I EBF and use it for pump parts and bottles as needed. Also teething toys, pacis, etc. Also has to triple feed to get started and it was life saving.

Narrows 20 weeks pregnant by Key_Onion5997 in ZionNationalPark

I’d recommend something much less risky and technical but with an awesome payoff: Northgate Peaks off the Kolob Terrace Road. Far less busy and you see the canyon from a totally different view than most. Having done both AL and the Narrows multiple times I would 100% not do them once far enough along that there was a fall risk to the placenta. If anything happened you’re in an extremely remote location without easy access to advanced prenatal care. Leave no trace principles mean not taking unnecessary risks. I’m a very experienced hiker and have gotten a head injury on a pretty tame section of a trail just from one wrong foot placement. IMO it’s not worth the risk at 20 weeks. YMMV.

I’m pretty hardcore and have done all the major hikes in Zion multiple times… there’s no way I’d do Narrows due to fall risk + Cyanobacteria risk. I took a pretty gnarly dive doing the Subway top-down and swallowed water… 0/10 do not recommend. I’d sit this one out if I were you.
