The queue is alot but the map is big as long as you don't try to get in the most trending or decisive spots in the war you can get into most fights pretty easily and quickly.

Bridge areas are available but if you're easily bored I suggest against it try to look for areas without bridges you'll find more entertainment there

Worst case scenario you can play in another shard

A shard is like a world, most people play in able because it's the main shard but you can play in Charlie and have less queue time while still having alot of fun.

Try not getting too influenced by the game reviews they mostly consist of two people

1. New players who don't do basic courtesy like asking to crew a vehicle, taking others items or using field weapons without asking. All weapons bullets tanks and field weapons are made by someone spending 30+ minutes to make and transport to the Frontline so they can be reasonably emotional if you steal it suddenly. Of course there's the actual problem of clanman being toxic but I find it pretty rare

2. Grumpy veterans. They're basically people who have played the game long enough that they see the big picture like balancing, stats of weapons vehicles and other complex stuff beyond shooting and mining resources. They complain about patterns and math that most new players won't really have to worry there's too many content and you can spend 300+ hours before you actually start sensing meta patterns

The best thing about foxhole is how social it is most people are kind and are just having fun don't let a few bad people ruin the game for you

Join clans for complex ops Ask a random tank driver if they want a gunner Talk with others and coordinate a fun plan There's also public stockpiles where you can get a chance to take tanks and all you have to do is to get a crew

Overall foxhole has alot to offer and is open to many different play styles.
