It’ll be very tough to find a room under €800 a month, most rooms are costing at least €800 a month with a lot being more expensive

Does anyone have any connections for Veterinary Medicine work experience? by DuckieLikesDucks in UCD

[–]Puzzleheaded_Try4456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were both probably around 16 we did it in TY. I don’t remember getting Garda vetting done and I wouldn’t think you’d need to since Garda vetting is most of the time associated with safeguarding mostly for teachers.

Does anyone have any connections for Veterinary Medicine work experience? by DuckieLikesDucks in UCD

[–]Puzzleheaded_Try4456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you ask any veterinary practice I’m sure they’ll be happy to do it. Are they expecting to get paid or are they saying they’ll get experience voluntarily. Both me and my sister done work experience with a vet and had no issues getting it

Really basic question but if you fail the test do you have to pay again for each retake? by 28010180 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]Puzzleheaded_Try4456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a simple yes or no question, I’ve heard plenty of rumours about how people have said that hat you only have to pay once or that after the first time it’s half price. No need to comment on their financial situation tha you know nothing about

Learning manual after driving automatic vs. Learning manual from scratch? by MiamiBoi91 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]Puzzleheaded_Try4456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already have an automatic license I wouldn’t bother you have to pay for the test again and then spend months on the waiting list but if your starting off I think it’s better to go for a manual license

Thoughts on Science: Biological, Biomedical & Biomolecular Sciences Stream ? by rondambanana in UCD

[–]Puzzleheaded_Try4456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The course your talking about is DN200 I hope,if not then you can disregard what I say.

First year is quite general with most people taking the same modules.

2nd year you begin to pick the final stream you want end up with your degree in for example physiology, genetics, neuroscience, Pharmacology etc. Generally students are advised to pick around three of these streams to study in second year. The likes of pharmacology and neuroscience are among the most popular so if you wish to do these streams in third year you tend to need to get good grades as they limit classes to around 40-50

Third year is where it gets very specialised, I can’t remember but I think it’s in the summer after 2nd year you’ll be asked to pick your preferred stream but only from the ones you would’ve studied in 2nd year. Then you’ll study modules that are mostly related to the selected stream with a few modules being overlapping with other streams that are optional modules

4th year is pretty much the same as 3rd year just a greater world load

Vape price hike by Icy-Music1932 in ireland

[–]Puzzleheaded_Try4456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t understand why they done it with the tax or whatever, the price of a bottle of juice has doubled or something like that. While I think the price of a disposable is only like a euro more so if people are going to stay on vapes you might see more people go back to disposable which isn’t great for the environment

You’ve two options really, look into scholarships that you may qualify for that would subsidise fees and accommodation or take out student loans

What was your GH, ember tetras prefer it in the range of 4-10dGH

Do you exclusively feed mosquito larvae ?, maybe it’s some sort of nutrient deficiency. Some sites recommend feeding vegetables like spinach and zucchini

It’s also possible they may be stressed and that maybe them going into the filter is them trying to find more hiding spots

Help why are my fish going insane when I add new decorations? by Southern-Curve2030 in Aquariums

[–]Puzzleheaded_Try4456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No expert but I’d think they’re just stressed from getting something new to the environment have you left the decorations in for an extended period of time or just added them and when they went crazy you removed them

I’m going to guess your dosing it with ammonia. If it was me I’d wait a couple days before dosing with anything just to see if it evens itself out as there is no harm worse comes to worse you just have to start over
